Rico Ofredo Andes (born March 14, 1998) is a Filipino professional footballer who plays as a forward for Philippines Football League club Loyola.
Andes studied at Far Eastern University and joined the FEU Tamaraws football team in 2015. He scored eight goals in his rookie year alone, as the Tamaraws fell short of reaching the Final Four, finishing at fifth place. In UAAP Season 79, he was inducted into the Mythical XI, and was instrumental in helping the Tamaraws return to the Final after a one-year absence. He scored both of FEU's goals in their 2–1 semi-final triumph over defending champion UP. [2]
Andes transferred to National University in 2019. His only season with NU was cut short as UAAP Season 82 was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic. [3]
Andes turned pro and joined Dynamic Herb Cebu before the 2022–23 Philippines Football League season. [4] On August 29, 2022, Andes made his professional debut, coming in as a substitute at the 58th minute of Cebu's 4–3 win over Stallion Laguna.
Andes signed with Loyola for the 2024–25 PFL season. He made his debut for the club on October 5, scoring Loyola's lone goal in a 4–1 loss to Maharlika Taguig. Two weeks later, Andes scored a brace in their 3–2 victory against Mendiola. He netted another brace on November 24, during Loyola's 3–0 win versus Stallion.
Andes was one of the 23 players called up to represent the Philippines' under-22 national team at the 2019 AFF U-22 Youth Championship. [5] He came on as a second-half substitute in their matches against Vietnam and Thailand.
