Berga, Linköping

Berga is a city district in Linköping located in the southern part of the city. The river Tinnerbäcken runs through Berga. Berga has a center with a grocery, hairdresser, cafe, pizzeria, sushi, betting shop, clinic, dental services and pharmacy. There is also Berga church that has a circular architecture. The district is known and appreciated for its urban design with nearby nature. There are plans to add more buildings in central parts of Berga. About 80% of the buildings were built in the 1960s as part of the Million Programme. In Berga there are about 6000 inhabitants, of whom approximately 34.2% were foreign-born (2009), and an unemployment rate of around 12%.

Anna Berit Wallenberg was a Swedish archaeologist, anthropologist, art historian, photographer, and philanthropist. She established a research foundation, the Berit Wallenberg Foundation, that awards funds to these areas. Since its establishment, it has been providing support to cultural heritage institutions, art historians, and archaeologists. In 1936, she became the first Swedish woman to be appointed as a supervisor for the national heritage committee, responsible for the restoration of the Lovö church.

Trollhättan school attack 2015 attack on Kronan School in Trollhättan, Sweden

On 22 October 2015, 21-year-old Anton Lundin Pettersson attacked Kronan School in Trollhättan, Sweden, with a sword. He killed a teaching assistant and a male student, stabbed another male student and a teacher, and died later of the gunshot wounds he received during his apprehension. The second teacher who was wounded died in the hospital six weeks after the attack, on 3 December.

The Family (songwriters)

The Family is a Swedish songwriting and music production team consisting of the married couple Joy & Linnéa Deb and Anton Hård Af Segerstad. They have worked with artists such as Fifth Harmony, JoJo, and Måns Zelmerlöw. Together they wrote and composed the Eurovision Song Contest winning song "Heroes" performed by Måns Zelmerlöw in 2015. The song has had huge success and is the third-highest-scoring song in the history of the ESC. "Heroes" also peaked at #1 in 22 countries and was certified 5X Platinum in Sweden.

Pieter Carl Fredrik Thill Iansson Ridderstad is a Swedish curler.
