Rindra Hasimbelo Rabarinirinarison is a Malagasy politician and public official who has served as chief executive officer of the Global Center on Adaptation since March 2026. [1] She previously served as Minister of Economy and Finance in the government of Madagascar from August 2021 to October 2025. [2] [3]
Rabarinirinarison has degrees in public management from Georgia State University and in public procurement from the International Law Institute (Washington DC). [4]
Rabarinirinarison was the head the public procurement commission of Madagascar from 2016 [4] to 2020. Then she became a senior official in the finance ministry. [5] Andry Rajoelina appointed her as the Minister of Economy and Finance in August 2021. [5] [6] Under her leadership,the Malagasy economy grew 4% in 2023 and a $100 million Development Policy Operation (DPO) agreement has been made with the World Bank. [7] Her tenure ended in October 2025,when a new cabinet appointed Herinjatovo AiméRamiarison as finance minister after the 2025 Malagasy coup d'état. [3] [8]
In March 2026,she was appointed chief executive officer of the Global Center on Adaptation,succeeding Patrick Verkooijen. [1]
