Riya Suman is an Indian actress who appears mainly in Tamil and Telugu films. She debuted in the commercially successful 2016 Telugu film Majnu . [1]

Career

Riya made her debut in Majnu (2016) opposite Nani. [2] The movie opened to great reviews commercially and critically. [3] She later starred in Paper Boy (2018), which opened to mixed reviews from the critics and audience. [4] She received critical appraisal for her rich yet humble girl portrayal and nuanced performance in the film. [5] The Hans India 's critic wrote, "Riya Suman delivered an elegant and beautiful performance. She is not only looking extremely gorgeous in the film but will impress the viewers with her talent as well." [6] The IndiaGlitz critic wrote, "Riya Suman is restrained; her smile comes with a certain cuteness." [7] Telugu Film Nagar's writer praised the film, writing, "Matured measured performance by Riya Suman." [8] The Telugu Cinema' writer's review said, "Riya Suman shows grace and has a decent screen presence." [9]

Riya's first film in Tamil, titled Seeru (2020), with Jiiva, was directed by Rathna Siva. [10]

He made his acting debut with Mohana Krishna Indraganti's 2008 comedy film Ashta Chamma, an Indian adaptation of Oscar Wilde's play The Importance of Being Earnest. After Ashta Chamma's commercial success, Nani played the lead roles in three Telugu films in the next two years: Ride (2009), Snehituda (2009) and Bheemili Kabaddi Jattu (2010). In 2011, Nani collaborated with B. V. Nandini Reddy on the romantic comedy film Ala Modalaindi which was profitable. Imman composes music for the film and the film is bankrolled by Ishari K. Ganesh under his production studio Vels Film International. Principal photography commenced on 4 December 2018. The film was released on 7 February 2020 and opened to positive reviews.

<i>Agent Kannayiram</i> 2022 comedy mystery film

Agent Kannayiram is a 2022 Indian Tamil-language mystery comedy-thriller directed by Manoj Beedha and produced by Labyrinth Films. It is a remake of the 2019 Telugu film Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya.The film stars Santhanam and Riya Suman with a supporting cast including Munishkanth, and Redin Kingsley. The film's music is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, with cinematography handled by duo Theni Eashwar and Saravanan Ramasamy and editing done by Ajay. The film was released in theatres on 25 November 2022 to mixed reviews from critics.
