Anguilla is a British overseas territory in the Caribbean. It is one of the most northerly of the Leeward Islands in the Lesser Antilles, lying east of Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands and directly north of Saint Martin. The territory consists of the main island of Anguilla, approximately 16 miles long by 3 miles (5 km) wide at its widest point, together with a number of much smaller islands and cays with no permanent population. The territory's capital is The Valley. The total land area of the territory is 35 square miles (91 km2), with a population of approximately 14,731 (2018).
Politics of Anguilla takes place in a framework of a parliamentary representative democratic dependency, whereby the Premier is the head of government, and of a multi-party system. Anguilla, the most northerly of the Leeward Islands in the Lesser Antilles, is an internally self-governing overseas territory of the United Kingdom. The United Nations Committee on Decolonization includes Anguilla on the United Nations list of Non-Self-Governing Territories. The territory's constitution is Anguilla Constitutional Order 1 April 1982. Executive power is exercised by the Premier and the Executive Council. Legislative power is vested in both the Executive Council and the House of Assembly. The Judiciary is independent of the executive and the legislature. Military defence is the responsibility of the United Kingdom.

Anguillan Creole is a dialect of Leeward Caribbean Creole English spoken in Anguilla, an island and British Overseas Territory in the Caribbean. Although classified as a dialect of Leeward Caribbean Creole English spoken in Saint Kitts and Nevis, Antigua and Montserrat due to a common British colonial history, it is actually closer to the British Virgin Islands and Saint Martin varieties of Virgin Islands Creole. The number of speakers of Anguillan Creole is below 10,000. Anguillan Creole does not have the status of an official language.
AFA Senior Male League or the AFA League is the top division in Anguilla, it was created in 1997. Despite being a league competition in CONCACAF, none of the Anguillan teams ever played in CFU Club Championship or CONCACAF Champions' Cup. 4,000 capacity Ronald Webster Park is a venue used for league matches.

The 2015–16 AFA Senior Male League is the seventeenth season of the AFA Senior Male League, the only football league in Anguilla. The season began on 15 November 2015. The league was won by Salsa Ballers FC for the first time.

Albena Lake-Hodge Comprehensive School (ALHCS) is the sole government secondary school of Anguilla, in The Valley. As of 2017 it had about 1,062 students. It has two campuses, A and B. Forms 1-2 go to campus B while forms 3-6 go to Campus A. It is named after Albena Lake-Hodge.
