Life

Robert Rhodes grew up in Wichita Falls, Texas, the son of a Church of Christ preacher. [2] He started his education at York College in Nebraska. He completed his undergraduate work at Oklahoma Christian University. He completed his Ph.D. in 1994 at University of Northern Colorado. He worked as a school psychologist before starting his 17-year career at New Mexico State University in 1996. [3] While there, he served as the head of the department of Special Education and Communication Disorders and associate dean in the College of Education at New Mexico State University. In 2009, he was named an American Council on Education fellow and spent a year at Pepperdine University working on accreditation and strategy. [4] Robert also served as the president of New Mexico Association of School Psychologist and a state delegate to the National Association of School Psychologists. He also served as an associate editor of School Psychology Quarterly. [5]

Southland Conference

The Southland Conference, abbreviated to SLC, is a collegiate athletic conference which operates in the South Central United States. It participates in the NCAA's Division I for all sports; for football, it participates in the Division I Football Championship Subdivision (FCS). The Southland sponsors 18 sports, 10 for women and eight for men, and is governed by a presidential Board of Directors and an Advisory Council of athletic and academic administrators. Tom Burnett was named the Southland's sixth commissioner on Dec. 23, 2002. From 1996 to 2002, for football only, the Southland Conference was known as the Southland Football League.

Robert J. Sternberg is an American psychologist and psychometrician. He is Professor of Human Development at Cornell University. Prior to joining Cornell, Sternberg was president of the University of Wyoming for 5 months. He has been Provost and Professor at Oklahoma State University, Dean of Arts and Sciences at Tufts University, IBM Professor of Psychology and Education at Yale University. He is a member of the editorial boards of numerous journals, including American Psychologist. He was the past President for the American Psychological Association.

Billy Olson American pole vaulter

Billy Richard Olson is a retired American Olympic pole vaulter who held several world records, including the first 19-foot indoor pole vault. Olson finished 12th at the 1988 Summer Olympics, and was to have been part of the U.S. team for the boycotted 1980 Summer Olympics.

Chris Thomsen is an American football coach. He is the tight ends coach at Florida State University. Thomsen was the head coach of the Wildcats football program at Abilene Christian University (ACU), from 2005 through 2011. Thomsen also served as the interim head football coach at Texas Tech University for one game in 2012, the Meineke Car Care Bowl of Texas.

Wallace "Coach Bully" Bullington is a former American football player, coach, and college athletics administrator. 2013 Abilene Christian Wildcats football team American college football season

The 2013 Abilene Christian Wildcats football team represented Abilene Christian University in the 2013 NCAA Division I FCS football season. The Wildcats played their first transition season of at the FCS level. However, they were not considered a FCS team for scheduling purposes until 2014. They were led by second-year head coach Ken Collums. Home games were played at Shotwell Stadium. This was a transition season for the Wildcats. As a transitioning school from D2 to D1, the Wildcats were ineligible for the FCS Playoffs and the D2 playoffs. They played a mixed schedule of schools from the FBS, FCS, NAIA, and D-II. The Wildcats joined the Southland Conference for football in the 2014 season, and it counted as the 2nd year in a 4-year transition into the Division I level that will make them eligible for the FCS Playoffs in 2017–18. They finished the season 6–5.

Britt Bonneau is an American college baseball coach who had been the head coach at Abilene Christian (ACU) from 1997 to the competition of the 2018 season. Under Bonneau, ACU played in nine NCAA Tournaments. Previously, he was an assistant at UTSA, Lubbock Christian, and Abilene Christian. Bonneau played professional baseball in the mid-1990s after playing college baseball at Lubbock Christian and Oklahoma.

The 2012 Abilene Christian Wildcats football team represented Abilene Christian University in the 2012 NCAA Division II football season as a member of the Lone Star Conference (LSC). The Wildcats were led by first year head coach Ken Collums and played their home games at Shotwell Stadium in Abilene, Texas.

2012 Lone Star Conference football season American college football season

The 2012 Lone Star Conference football began on August 30 when West Texas A&M lost to CSU-Pueblo and ended with West Texas A&M loss against Winston-Salem in the NCAA D2 Semi Final on December 8. It was Abilene Christian and Incarnated Word last season before they moved to NCAA D1 Southland Conference.
