Robert James MacLeod (born May 1964) [1] is a British businessman, and the chief executive (CEO) of Johnson Matthey, a British multinational chemicals and precious metals company, from 2014 to 2022. [2] [3] [4]

He succeeded Neil Carson, who was CEO of Johnson Matthey from 2004 until his retirement in 2014. [5]

He was succeeded as CEO by Liam Condon in March 2022. [6]

John MacLeod of MacLeod, born as John Wolrige-Gordon, was the 29th Chief of Clan MacLeod. Faced with the need for expensive repairs to the clan's seat at Dunvegan Castle on the Isle of Skye, his proposed methods to raise funds caused considerable controversy. His twin brother, Patrick Wolridge-Gordon (1935–2002), was MP for East Aberdeenshire.
