Robert Kenneth Mailhouse [1] (born January 22, 1962) is an American actor and musician. He has also appeared in television series including the soap opera Days of Our Lives and the situation comedy Seinfeld . He is the drummer and founding member alongside bassist Keanu Reeves for the grunge-alternative rock band Dogstar. He also plays in the band Becky. [2]
Mailhouse is a graduate of Suffield Academy. In the early 1990s, he appeared on the soap opera Days of Our Lives. [3] He appeared in guest roles in a variety of television series in the 1990s, including Seinfeld, Picket Fences , Melrose Place , Caroline in the City (1997), Dharma & Greg (1999) and Sports Night (1998-2000), in a recurring role as CSC executive JJ. In the 2000s, he appeared in episodes of television series such as Judging Amy (2002) and C.S.I.: Crime Scene Investigation (2003). He has also appeared in several films, including Speed (1994). [4] As a musician, he played drums with the grunge-alternative rock band Dogstar, which has opened for David Bowie and toured with Bon Jovi. [5] The band released an EP entitled Quattro Formagi (1995) and two albums: Our Little Visionary (Zoo/BMG, 1996) and Happy Ending (2000). Dogstar attracted media attention from the off-stage job held by its bassist Keanu Reeves as a Hollywood actor. [6] Mailhouse starred in The Christmas Pageant alongside actress Melissa Gilbert in 2011.

Keanu Charles Reeves is a Canadian actor. Born in Beirut and raised in Toronto, he made his acting debut in the Canadian television series Hangin' In (1984), before making his feature film debut in Youngblood (1986). Reeves had his breakthrough role in the science fiction comedy Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure (1989), and he reprised his role in its sequels. Grunge is an alternative rock genre and subculture which emerged during the mid-1980s in the U.S. state of Washington, particularly in Seattle and nearby towns. Loudhouse was a hard rock band that was formed in Detroit, Michigan during 1989. The band consisted of vocalist Kenny Mugwump, drummer Vinnie Dombroski, bassist Tim Cross, and guitarist Mike Cross. Second guitarist Joey Mazzola was added to the band near the end of their tenure. They released one full-length album in 1991 and disbanded in 1992. The members sans Mugwump then stuck together and formed the band Sponge alongside drummer Jimmy Paluzzi.
Somewhere Between the Power Lines and Palm Trees is the third studio album by American band Dogstar, released on October 6, 2023, through the band's label Dillon Street Records. The album is their first since Happy Ending (2000) and 2023 reformation. It was supported by the single "Everything Turns Around". The band will tour in support of the album until December 2023.
