Robert Naeye is an American science journalist and former magazine editor.
He was born in Burlington, Vermont and raised in Hershey, Pennsylvania. He currently lives just outside Hershey. [1]
His ancestry can be traced to the Flanders region of Belgium and other places in Northern Europe. He is unrelated to the Belgian cyclist of the same name Robert Naeye. [2]
He completed and undergraduate degree at Oberlin College and a master's degree in science journalism at Boston University. [2]
He has worked as a Researcher/Reporter at Discover magazine, Senior Editor at Astronomy magazine, Editor in Chief of Mercury magazine, Senior Editor and later Editor in Chief of Sky & Telescope magazine, and Senior Science Writer for the Astrophysics Science Division at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland. [1] He has also written numerous freelance articles for a variety of print and online publications.

Sandra Moore Faber is an American astrophysicist known for her research on the evolution of galaxies. She is the University Professor of Astronomy and Astrophysics at the University of California, Santa Cruz, and works at the Lick Observatory. She has made discoveries linking the brightness of galaxies to the speed of stars within them and was the co-discoverer of the Faber–Jackson relation. Faber was also instrumental in designing the Keck telescopes in Hawaii.

David Morrison is an American astronomer, a senior scientist at the Solar System Exploration Research Virtual Institute, at NASA Ames Research Center in Mountain View, California. Morrison is the former director of the Carl Sagan Center for Study of Life in the Universe at the SETI Institute and of the NASA Lunar Science Institute. He is the past Director of Space at NASA Ames. Morrison is credited as a founder of the multi-disciplinary field of astrobiology. Morrison is best known for his work in risk assessment of near Earth objects such as asteroids and comets. Asteroid 2410 Morrison was named in his honor. Morrison is also known for his "Ask an Astrobiologist" series on NASA's website where he provides answers to questions submitted by the public. He has published 12 books and over 150 papers primarily on planetary science, astrobiology and near Earth objects.

He is best known for mapping carbon monoxide in the Milky Way galaxy and was responsible for the construction of the CfA 1.2 m Millimeter-Wave Telescope.

Mercedes Tharam Richards, née Davis, was a Jamaican astronomy and astrophysics professor. Her investigation focused on computational astrophysics, stellar astrophysics and exoplanets and brown dwarfs, and the physical dynamics of interacting binary stars systems. However, her pioneering research in the tomography of interacting binary star systems and cataclysmic variable stars to predict magnetic activity and simulate gas flow is her most known work.
