Roby Luigi Zucchi (born October 9, 1951 in Genoa, Italy) [1] [ circular reference ] is an Italian former water-skier noted for slalom. He won a gold medal at the 1972 Olympics, where water skiing was an exhibition event. [2] Later he won the slalom at the 1975 world championships. In 1995 he was inducted into the Water Skiing Hall of Fame. [3]

Wayne Grimditch is an American water skier. He competed for the United States in the 1972 Summer Olympics in Germany, winning two silver medals in the water skiing. Grimditch would go on to establish 10 U.S. national jumping records and four world marks in the sport. He earned 16 national titles and was the first skier to earn jumping records in the Junior Boy's, Boy's and Men's divisions simultaneously. Grimditch was known as a child prodigy qualifying for his first national tournament in slalom at just nine years old and winning the world jumping title in Copenhagen, Denmark at age 14. Due to a concussion, he began wearing a helmet which became common to the sport—though not a requirement—thereafter.

Sammy Duvall is a retired water-skier who had victories at the Masters Tournaments and the World water skiing champions. One of his more noted victories being a "came from behind" victory at the 1987 world championship. He officially retired in 1998 and in 2001 he was inducted into Water Skiing Hall of Fame. His older sister Camille also had success in the sport.

Julia Gromyko is a Belarusian-German water skier. As of 2004 she was the world record holder in the tricks and jump events.

Chris Parrish is an American professional water skier. From 15 May 2005 to 2 June 2013 Parrish held the world record for Slalom skiing. During that time he tied his record once and beat it twice. In addition to his world records, he has won nine major championships, and is regarded as one of the most dominant athletes in water skiing.

Michael "Mike" Kjellander is a Swedish former professional water skier. He won the US Pro Tour 21 times, two times Masters champion, one-time US Open champion, 15 times European champion, 32 times national champion, two silver and one bronze from World Championship and one-time world record holder. He specialized in slalom and jump but was initially also successful as an overall skier. He is still the national current record holder in trick with a score of 7,760 points.

Kristi Overton Johnson is an American former water skiing champion, author, and missionary. Competing professionally between 1983 and 2005, Overton Johnson accumulated 80 pro victories.

Judy McClintock-Messer is a Canadian former water skier. She won the Masters Water Ski Tournament in 1981 and the Water Ski World Championships in 1985 and 1995.
