Rocco Spindler (born June 25, 2002) [1] is an American football offensive lineman for the Nebraska Cornhuskers. He previously played for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
Spindler attended Clarkston High School in Clarkston, Michigan. Coming out of high school, he was rated as a four-star recruit the 2nd overall recruit in the State of Michigan, and the 44th overall player in the class of 2021 by 247Sports, where he held offers from schools such as Michigan, Ohio State, LSU, Notre Dame, and Penn State. [2] Ultimately, Spindler committed to play college football for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. [3]
During his four-year career with the Fighting Irish from 2021 through 2024, he made 23 career starts at offensive guard, including in the 2025 College Football Playoff National Championship. After the conclusion of he 2024 season, Spindler entered the NCAA transfer portal. [4]
Spindler transferred to play for the Nebraska Cornhuskers. [5] He entered the 2025 season as a starter on the Cornhuskers offensive line. [6] During the 2025 season, Spindler started in all 12 regular season games at right guard. [7] After the conclusion of the season, he declared for the 2026 NFL draft. [8]
He is the son of former NFL defensive lineman Marc Spindler. [9] [10]
