The Shire of Waggamba was a local government area of Queensland, Australia on the Queensland-New South Wales border in the Darling Downs region, surrounding the Town of Goondiwindi, a separate local government area limited to the town. Administered from the town of Goondiwindi, it covered an area of 13,400.8 square kilometres (5,174.1 sq mi), and existed as a local government entity from 1879 until 2008, when it amalgamated with the Shire of Inglewood and the Town of Goondiwindi to form the Goondiwindi Region.

"My Happiness" is a song by Australian rock band Powderfinger. It was released via record label Universal Music Australia on 21 August 2000 as the first single from the band's fourth album, Odyssey Number Five. Powderfinger frontman Bernard Fanning wrote the lyrics for "My Happiness" as a reflection on the time the band spent touring to promote their work, and the loneliness that came as a result. It was inspired by his love of gospel and soul music. The rest of the band are co-credited with Fanning for composing the track. Despite its melancholy mood, "My Happiness" is considered by many to be a love song, a suggestion Fanning regards as mystifying.

Jessica Watson is an Australian sailor who was awarded the Order of Australia Medal after attempting a solo global circumnavigation at the age of 16. Departing Sydney on 18 October 2009, Watson headed north-east, crossing the equator in the Pacific Ocean before crossing the Atlantic and Indian Oceans. She returned to Sydney on 15 May 2010, three days before her 17th birthday, though the voyage was ultimately shorter than the required 21,600 nautical miles to be considered a global circumnavigation. In recognition of her attempt Watson was named the 2011 Young Australian of the Year, and the following year was awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia. She currently resides in Buderim, Queensland.

Hugh "Clugs" McCluggage is a professional Australian rules footballer playing for the Brisbane Lions in the Australian Football League (AFL). He was drafted by Brisbane with their first selection and third overall in the 2016 national draft. He made his debut in the thirty-one point loss against St Kilda at Etihad Stadium in round three of the 2017 season. After the sixty point loss to Greater Western Sydney at the Gabba in round 14, in which he recorded nineteen disposals, eight marks and two tackles, he received the round nomination for the 2017 AFL Rising Star. 2019 he won the Alastair Lynch medal polling 3rd in the best and fairest. He has been named in the all Australian squad 3 times but hasn't made an all Australian team because he has got robbed.
