Roger Wayne Bailey is a New Zealand former rugby league footballer and coach who represented New Zealand thirty times between 1961 and 1970. His brother Gary also played for New Zealand while his brother Bob later coached New Zealand and his son David was also a professional player. Bailey is of New Zealand Māori descent. [2]
A member of the Ponsonby club, [3] Bailey was an Auckland representative and was first picked for the New Zealand national rugby league team in 1961. He went on to play thirty test matches for the Kiwis and, in 1967, captained the Kiwis in two matches. [4] Bailey also represented the New Zealand Māori side. [2]
In 1973 Bailey won the Hyland Memorial Cup as coach of the year in the Auckland Rugby League competition.[ citation needed ]
He joined the Maritime club in 1975. [5]
Bailey was inducted as a New Zealand Rugby League "Legend of League" in 1995 and is an Auckland Rugby League Immortal. [6] [7]
In 2007 he was named in the New Zealand Rugby League Team of the Century at centre. [8]
Dean Bell, also known by the nicknames of "Mean Dean", and "Deano", is a New Zealand former professional rugby league footballer, and coach. A New Zealand international representative centre, he played his club football in England, Australia and New Zealand, but most notably with Wigan, with whom he won seven consecutive Challenge Cup Finals, a Lance Todd Trophy, and a Man of Steel Award. He later coached English club Leeds for two seasons.

Samuel Lameko Panapa is a New Zealand former professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1980s and 1990s. He represented three countries in his career: Tokelau, New Zealand and Western Samoa. Panapa played his club football in Auckland as well as England, where he won several titles with the champion Wigan side of the 1990s.
