Roger James Clegg (born 4 December 1948) is a former Ireland rugby union international from Northern Ireland.

Clegg was a tighthead prop from Bangor, County Down. He attended Bangor Grammar School and played his rugby for Bangor RFC. [1] Between 1973 and 1975, Clegg gained five international caps for Ireland, all in the Five Nations Championship. [2] He was on the 1976 Ireland tour of Oceania and later served as captain of Ulster. [3]

Bangor RFC is a Northern Irish rugby union club from Bangor, County Down, playing in Division 2C of the All-Ireland League.

Brian Bloomfield was in his second season as coach. 35-year-old Malone RFC centre Bill Harbinson, who first played for Ulster in 1986, was captain, in his final season before retirement from the game.
