Roger Eagleton is an American race car driver and entrepreneur, born in Glendale, California. He is currently based in Waikiki, Honolulu and is the 2019 Trans-Am West Coast Champion in the GT Class.
Eagleton first competed in Motorsports 2008 in the Jim Russell Championship Series where he finished fifth overall. He was Sports Car Club of America San Francisco Region BMW E30 Class Champion the same year. In 2013 he was the National Auto Sport Association (NASA) 25 Hours of Thunderhill E3 class winner. In 2014 he was again NASA 25 Hours of Thunderhill E3 Class winner. [1] In 2015 he was the Sportsman Class Champion in the United States Touring Car Championship, [2] winning five races driving a 1996 BMW M3. [3] In 2016 Eagleton won the 6-hour Enduro race in the E3 class and in the same year finished third in the USTCC Super Touring Class Championship. In 2017 he again won at the 25 hours of Thunderhill, this time in the EXR class while also finishing second in the E0 class. [4]
2018 was a successful year for Eagleton, winning the T2 class in the SCCA Majors at Thunderhill and at Kent, Washington. He also won at Buttonwillow and Portland, also under SCCA jurisdiction, in the T2 class in the Hoosier Super Tour. [5] [6] These wins made Eagleton the Western Conference Class Champion in the T2 class. In the 25 hours of Thunderhill he was first in the EXR class. [7]
In 2019, Eagleton competed in the Trans Am presented by Pirelli West Coast Championship GT class. He was Championship leader after winning the race at Thunderhill in April [8] [9] and finishing second at Laguna Seca, Sonoma and Portland International Raceway, [10] then went on to become 2019 Champion after securing second place at Circuit of the Americas. The International Motor Sports Association (IMSA) is a North American sports car racing sanctioning body based in Daytona Beach, Florida, under the jurisdiction of the ACCUS arm of the FIA. It was started by John Bishop, a former executive director of SCCA, and his wife Peggy in 1969 with help from Bill France Sr. of NASCAR. Beginning in 2014, IMSA is the sanctioning body of the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, the premier series resulting from the merger of Grand-Am Road Racing and the American Le Mans Series. IMSA is owned by NASCAR, as a division of the company.
Grand-Am Road Racing or Grand-Am was an auto racing sanctioning body that was established in 1999 to organize road racing competitions in North America. Its primary focus was the Rolex Sports Car Series, an endurance racing championship series. It sanctioned five auto racing series. The series announced in September 2012 that it would be merging with the American Le Mans Series, which had been Grand-Am's main US competitor since its inception. The two series fully merged in 2014 under the banner of the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship, with the International Motor Sports Association.

Carl Rydquist is a Swedish-American eight-time auto racing champion, a SAG-AFTRA on-camera stunt and precision driver and a Nurburgring Industry Pool driver. Rydquist gained notoriety for his speed in 2001 when he beat more than 1100 enthusiasts and professional racedrivers in a gocart challenge created by Eurosport to promote their Super Racing Weekend FIA GT and ETCC sports coverage. The event propelled him to his first GT Endurance ride with Apex Racing's Porsche. Rydquist actively competes in racing and has competed in professional drifting. In Rydquist's auto racing career, he currently has a victory in more than one third of his races and podium finishes in three out of four Touring and GT car endurance and sprint races.
The 1966 Trans-American Sedan Championship was the inaugural running of the Sports Car Club of America's Trans-Am Series auto racing series. It was open to FIA Group 1 and FIA Group 2 cars and was contested over seven races. Manufacturers titles were awarded for both Over 2 Liter and Under 2 Liter cars with Ford and Alfa Romeo winning their respective class championships. Horst Kwech and Gaston Andrey were subsequently named Drivers co-champions in 1980 when the SCCA retroactively named drivers championships for the series after the 1980 season.
Peter "P.D." Cunningham is an American race car driver and owner of RealTime R&L, Inc., based in Saukville, Wisconsin and currently competing in the Pirelli World Challenge GT Championship. His name and his team, RealTime Racing, have become synonymous with the Honda and Acura brands. Through 2013, he has claimed 91 professional race wins across 12 different North American road racing series and holds numerous World Challenge records.
The 2009 Trans-Am Series was the 41st running of the Sports Car Club of America's Trans-Am Series. It was also the first official season since 2005.. Tomy Drissi won the series championship over the seven rounds contested.

Claudio was born in Argentina and moved to the US in the summer of 1963. He attended Our Lady of the Valley Catholic elementary school located in the Los Angeles school district in southern California. He began working for his father at Chemetics Systems Inc. in Compton, CA at the age of fifteen while attending Servite High School in Anaheim. He apprenticed polyurethane chemistry from his father Carlos Burtin, a licensed chemist.

The 2020 Trans-Am Series season is the 52nd running of the Trans-Am Series. The National Championship began on March 1 and will run for twelve rounds. Within this championship, a Northern Cup and Southern Cup are also awarded consisting of the point totals from certain rounds for drivers who are not running the full season. A separate West Coast Championship will also be held with some rounds separate from the national series and some together.
All American Grand Touring (AAGT) is the name of a former classification and set of regulations designated to grand touring cars in sports car racing, competing in the IMSA GT Championship, maintained by IMSA between 1975 and 1989. These cars were All-American, V8-powered, used a maximum of 5 forward gears, and used a steel tube frame (similar to the type used in the SCCA Trans-Am Series), and were designed to compete against heavyweight European manufacturers and machinery of the time, such as Porsche and BMW, who were dominating the series at the time.
