Romain Folz (born 28 June 1990) is a French football manager and the current head of coach of Tanzanian Premier League club Young Africans. [1]
In 2018, Folz was appointed manager of American side West Virginia United. [2] In 2019, he was appointed assistant manager of Uganda. [3] After that, he was appointed assistant manager of Pyramids in Egypt. [4] In 2020, Folz was appointed manager of Ghanaian club Bechem United. [5] After that, he was appointed assistant manager of Niort in France.[ citation needed ]
In 2021, he was appointed manager of Ghanaian team Ashanti Gold. [6] After that, Folz was appointed manager of Township Rollers in Botswana. [7] [8] [9]
In 2022, he moved to South Africa for the first time as he was appointed manager of South African side Marumo Gallants. He was the youngest manager in the Premier Division. [10] [11] [12] [13] He managed AmaZulu from 2022 until 2023. In April 2023 Romain Folz was redeployed as technical director.[ citation needed ]
He moved on to Guinea's Horoya AC in August 2023. [14] In July 2024, he joined Mamelodi Sundowns F.C. as an assistant coach until 10 December 2024 when he was relieved of his duties. [15] [16]
