The Diocese of Hengshui is a small Roman Catholic diocese in Hebei province, China.
The diocese has 27 priests, 60 sisters and approximately 26,000 lay Catholics. Bishop Peter Feng Xinmao was ordained Coadjutor Bishop of Hengshui on the feast of the Epiphany (6 January 2004).

Mathias Chen Xilu was a Chinese Roman Catholic bishop of Hengshui, Hebei. He had been appointed to his post by the Vatican, and had been recognized by the government of the People's Republic of China.

A cardinal since 2012, he was auxiliary bishop of Hong Kong from 1996 to 2008, then coadjutor bishop of the diocese for a year, and Bishop of Hong Kong from 2009 to 2017. In January 2019, he became the apostolic administrator of the diocese, in a caretaker role, after the death his successor, Michael Yeung.
