Samar (transl. War) is a 2013 Indian Tamil-language mystery action-adventure film written and directed by Thiru. It stars Vishal, Trisha and Sunaina, with Manoj Bajpayee and J. D. Chakravarthy appearing in supporting roles. Richard M. Nathan handled the cinematography, while the film's soundtrack and score were composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja and Dharan Kumar, respectively. Later on, it was dubbed in Hindi as Gabbar Sher in 2016. The story revolves around a trekking guide, who is forced to leave for Bangkok under strange circumstances and witnesses a series of puzzling incidents there. After several delays finally the film was released on 13 January 2013.

The film stars Sri, Sundeep Kishan, and Regina Cassandra, and its soundtrack was composed by Javed Riaz. It is the feature directorial debut of Lokesh Kanagaraj. The film was released on 10 March 2017 to positive reviews from critics. It was remade in Hindi as Mumbaikar (2023).
Sooriya Nagaram is a 2012 Indian Tamil film written and directed by M. Sellamuthu and produced by X. B. Rajan. The film stars Rahul Ravindran, Meera Nandan, R. V. Udayakumar, and Ganja Karuppu. This was the debut movie of music director Ron Ethan Yohann. The film was released on 30 March 2012; however, it received negative reviews upon release and did not fare well both critically and commercially.
