Ronald Stampfer

Ronald Stampfer (born 1976) is a retired Austrian alpine skier.

He competed at the 1994 and 1995 Junior World Championships, his best placement being a 7th place in slalom at the 1994 edition. [1]

He made his World Cup debut in January 1999 in Wengen, also collecting his first World Cup points with a 23rd place. He improved to a 13th place in February 2000 in Yongpong and 7th place in March 2000 in Schladming, both in the slalom. His last World Cup outing came in January 2001 in Wengen. [1]

He represented the sports club WSV St. Gallenkirch. [1]

The 41st World Cup season was scheduled to begin on 28 October 2006, but cancellation of the opening races in Sölden delayed the season's start by two weeks. A very poor snowpack in the Alps, along with stormy weather in January, caused numerous races to be moved and rescheduled throughout the winter. The schedule included a mid-season break during the first 3 weeks of February for the World Championships in Åre, Sweden. The season concluded on 18 March 2007, at the World Cup Finals in Lenzerheide, Switzerland.
