Rory Phillips

Rory Allen Phillips is an American musician and founding member of Austin, Texas punk-ska band The Impossibles. [1] [2] Phillips also started The Stereo with Jamie Woolford of Animal Chin in 1999, and Slowreader with Impossibles bandmate Gabe Hascall in 2001. Phillips's current band is the reassembled The Stereo who, in 2022, self-released the album Thirteen and a podcast detailing the rise and fall of The Stereo called Kings of No Hope. Some of his side projects include Imbroco's "Are You My Lionkiller?"; the 20goto10; Nineteen Ninety-Now; Amex; a 2000-2005 mixtape under Rory Allen Phillips; and The Artificial Heart.

The Stereo is a pop-rock and roll band started in early 1999 by former ska-punk band frontmen Jamie Woolford and Rory Phillips. The pair were initially brought together on recommendation of their record label Fueled By Ramen. The duo released their debut album Three Hundred in summer 1999.

Yellow Submarine Songtrack is a compilation/soundtrack album by the English rock band the Beatles, released in 1999 to coincide with a re-release of the 1968 animated film Yellow Submarine that same year. The film was re-released on 13 September 1999 in the United Kingdom and the following day in the United States. In contrast with other Beatles remasters available, the songs were fully remixed by Peter Cobbin at Abbey Road Studios from the original multitrack tapes, something not done for the original CD release of the Beatles catalogue in the late 1980s, nor the 2009 remastered albums.

Recover is an American rock band from Austin, Texas.

Animal Chin was an American ska punk group from Minneapolis, Minnesota. The group was named after the 1987 skateboarding film, The Search for Animal Chin. They released their debut LP, All the Kids Agree, in 1997, and soon after signed to Fueled By Ramen, who pressed their EP The Ins & Outs of Terrorism! that same year. In 1999, Fueled By Ramen released the LP 20 Minutes from Right Now, but the group split up just before the album's release. Bassist Gruhn went back to finish college, lead singer Woolford went on to form The Stereo and drummer Wuollet joined the group Kill Sadie.

Will Johnson is an American musician, singer-songwriter, author and painter who was the lead singer of the bands Centro-matic and South San Gabriel. Called "one of the most prolific artists in American indie rock", Johnson has also released solo records, and is a member of the bands Monsters of Folk, New Multitudes and Overseas, and has also performed as part of the Undertow Orchestra. He is currently a member of Jason Isbell's band, the 400 Unit.

The Artificial Heart is an Austin, Texas-based band featuring Rory Phillips and Craig Tweedy, both formerly of The Impossibles. It also featured guitarist Scott Clapsaddle, vocalist Andrew Collins, and drummer Santiago "Jimmy" Vela III.
