Rosy & Andres were a Dutch musical duo made up of Rosy Pereira and Dries Holten. They recorded together from the mid to late 1970s. Their best known song is "My Love".
Rosy Pereira was born in 1951 and is the daughter of steel guitarist Coy Pereira. [1] Andres is a Dutch singer, songwriter of Indonesian descent. In 1972, he represented the Netherlands at the 1972 Eurovision Song Contest. [2]
In the October 9, 1976 issue of Billboard, their single "My Love" reached position no 3 in the Dutch chart, just behind "In Zaire" by Johnny Wakelin and with "Dancing Queen" by ABBA at no 1. [3] By October 23, 1976, their single "My Love" had dropped to no 8 in the Dutch chart. [4] It was announced in a November 1976 issue of Billboard that they along with the Dutch Swing College Band, Jules de Corte and others had recorded for a fund raising album for the Dutch Heart Foundation, due for release on the 11th of November. [5]
While on the Eddie Becker Television Show, they were awarded a gold disc for their My Love album which was their debut album. [6] In early June, 1977, "My Love" was no 9 in the Swiss Top Ten. [7] Previously in late April that year, it was at no 5 in the Swiss chart. [8] later in June of that year, they along with singers Therese Steinmetz and Conny Vink and a violin duo made up of Sem Vijveen & Benny Behr were sent to Romania for a five-day visit. Rosy and Andres were to sing a song in Romanian. The song "Bucaresti" was originally "Sausilito", a Dutch Top Ten hit from 1975. [9] In late 1977, they along with Camel, ZZ Top and other Teldec international acts were given massive promotion via the press and television spectaculars. [10]
Esther Zaied, better known by her married name Esther Ofarim, is an Israeli singer. She came second in the 1963 Eurovision Song Contest with the song "T'en va pas", representing Switzerland. After marrying Abi Ofarim in 1958, she was half of the husband-and-wife folk duo Esther & Abi Ofarim in the 1960s. After the couple divorced, she undertook a successful solo career.

"Waterloo" is the first single from the Swedish pop group ABBA's second album of the same name, and their first under the Atlantic label in the US. This was also the first single to be credited to the group performing under the name ABBA. The title and lyrics reference the 1815 Battle of Waterloo, and use it as a metaphor for a romantic relationship. The Swedish version of the single was backed with the Swedish version of "Honey, Honey", while the English version featured "Watch Out" on the B-side.

The lyrics and music were written by Tony Hiller, Lee Sheriden, and Martin Lee, the latter two being members of the band. The song became a worldwide hit, reaching No. 1 in many countries, including the UK, where it became the biggest-selling song of the year. Overall, it remains one of the biggest-selling Eurovision winners ever, and the biggest such seller in the UK.
"Don't Leave Me This Way" is a song written by Kenneth Gamble, Leon Huff, and Cary Gilbert. It was originally released in 1975 by Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes featuring Teddy Pendergrass, an act signed to Gamble & Huff's Philadelphia International label. "Don't Leave Me This Way" was subsequently covered by American singer Thelma Houston in 1976 and British duo the Communards in 1986, with both versions achieving commercial success.

Maggie MacNeal is a Dutch singer. She was a member of Mouth & MacNeal, a pop duo from the Netherlands, who are best known for their million-selling recording of "How Do You Do" in 1972, which topped the Dutch chart and became a US top ten hit, and for representing the Netherlands at the 1974 Eurovision Song Contest, finishing third with the song "I See a Star", which went on to become a UK top ten hit.
"Rock Bottom" was the British entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 1977, performed in English by Lynsey de Paul and Mike Moran. It was also written and produced by de Paul and Moran and released on the Polydor record label. Originally it was written for the group Blue Mink; and submitted unbeknown to de Paul and Moran as an entry for A Song For Europe by the publishers and when it was selected, de Paul agreed to perform the song if Moran would join her. On 9 March 1977, "Rock Bottom" was selected to represent the UK at the A Song for Europe 1977 event held at the New London Theatre, presented by Terry Wogan.

Dries (Andres) Holten was a Dutch singer, songwriter of Indo descent. He represented the Netherlands at the 1972 Eurovision Song Contest alongside Sandra Reemer. After he and Reemer broke up, Holten formed a new group with Rosy Pereira and called it Rosy & Andres. In 1980, Holten's final group was of him and Ria Shield Meyer.
