The Royal Automobile Club of Belgium (RACB) is an association of Belgian motorists founded in January 1896. Their missions are focused on assistance, advice and sport. [1]

Jacques Bernard Edmon Martin Henry "Jacky" Ickx is a Belgian former racing driver who won the 24 Hours of Le Mans six times and achieved eight wins and 25 podium finishes in Formula One. Sport in Belgium plays a prominent role in the society. As of 2010, Belgium counted around 17,000 sport clubs with approximately 1.35 million members, or about 13% of the Belgian population. Popular sports in Belgium are, among others: football, cycling, tennis, table tennis, athletics, swimming, basketball, badminton, judo, hockey, rowing, motocross, auto racing, volleyball, and running. Belgium has organized the 1920 Olympic Games in Antwerp as well as the 1972 UEFA European Championship and the 2000 UEFA European Championship along with the Netherlands. The Belgium national football team's best result was a 3rd place at the 2018 FIFA World Cup and a second place of the 1980 UEFA European Championship. The Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup powered by AWS, formerly for sponsorship reasons the Blancpain Endurance Series from 2011 to 2015 and Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup from 2016 to 2019, is a sports car racing series developed by SRO Motorsports Group and the Royal Automobile Club of Belgium (RACB) with approval from the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA). It features grand tourer racing cars modified from production road cars complying with the FIA's GT3 regulations. The series's goal is to be an endurance racing championship for GT3 cars, similar to the FIA World Endurance Championship which uses GTE cars and Le Mans Prototypes. The series was primarily sponsored by Swiss watchmaker Blancpain, and the company's Lamborghini Super Trofeo series serve as support races. In 2019, SRO announced that their sponsorship deal with Blancpain had been discontinued and the series was renamed the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup for the 2020 season.

The 2011 Blancpain Endurance Series season was the inaugural season of the Blancpain Endurance Series, the sports car racing series developed by the Stéphane Ratel Organisation and the Royal Automobile Club of Belgium (RACB) with approval from the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA).

The 2012 Total 24 Hours of Spa was the 65th running of the 24 Hours of Spa. It was the fourth round of the 2012 Blancpain Endurance Series season and was held over the 28 and 29 of July at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium. The race was won by Andrea Piccini, Rene Rast and Frank Stippler driving an Audi.

The 2016 TCR Benelux Touring Car Championship is the first season of the TCR Benelux Touring Car Championship. The season started on 21 May at Spa-Francorchamps and ended on 30 October at Mettet.

The 2015 GT Sports Club is the first season of the SRO Group's GT Sports Club, an auto racing series for grand tourer cars. The GT Sports Club is a championship for Bronze and Iron drivers only. Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze indicate how professional a driver is. The SRO introduced the new "Iron" categorisation within the Bronze category, for drivers over the age of 60. All drivers must participate with GT3-spec cars, RACB G3 cars or GTE-spec cars. The series maiden race weekend was from 17 to 19 April during the Espíritu de Montjuïc event at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. Max Bianchi won the first overall championship and Martin Lanting won the Iron Cup after the last race of the championship at Misano.

The 2018 Blancpain GT Series was the fifth season of the Blancpain GT Series. The season began on 7 April at Zolder and ended on 30 September in Barcelona. The season featured ten rounds, five Endurance Cup rounds and five Sprint Cup rounds.

Denis Dupont is a Belgian racing driver currently competing in the USA in Michelin Pilot Challenge in TCR. He previously raced in WTCR, TCR International Series, GT3 in Blancpain Sprint and Endurance championship, TCR BeNeLux Touring Car Championship, GT4 European Series Northern Cup and NASCAR Whelen Euro Series amongst others.

The 2018 French F4 Championship was the eighth season to run under the guise of the French F4 Championship and the first season under the FIA Formula 4 regulations. The championship used Mygale M14-F4 chassis like in the F4 British Championship and Australian Formula 4 Championship. The engine was upgraded from 1.6 litre to 2.0 litre. The series began on 1 April at Nogaro and ended on 14 October at Le Castellet, after seven rounds and twenty one races.

Pierre Ugeux was a paratrooper during World War II and worked closely with British Intelligence as a Major in the French section of the Special Operations Executive (SOE). He was assigned to work with the famous Comet line Belgian Resistance member Micheline Dumon during WWII. They met in London after she had been extracted from Europe in 1944 and ended up marrying the following year. After the war, Ugeux played a significant role in Belgium's gas and electricity industry as director of the Belgian Power Authority.

The 2018 Blancpain GT Sports Club was the fourth season of the SRO Motorsports Group's Blancpain GT Sports Club, an auto racing series for grand tourer cars. The Blancpain GT Sports Club is a championship for Bronze, Titanium and Iron drivers only. The Titanium categorisation is within the Bronze category, for drivers between the age of 50 and 59. The Iron categorisation is within the Bronze category, for drivers over the age of 60. The races are contested with GT3-spec, RACB G3, GTE-spec and Trophy cars.

The GT2 European Series, organized by SRO Motorsports Group, is an auto racing series for the SRO GT2 class of grand tourer cars, designed for amateur pay drivers in the FIA Bronze category. This target audience is also known in sportscar as "gentleman drivers".
