Royale is a Canadian brand of consumer household paper products such as facial tissue, bathroom tissue, paper towels, and paper napkins. The brand is owned by Canadian paper company Irving Tissue.
In 1929, New York-based National Cellulose Company dissolved a relationship with its Canadian distributor and opened its first Canadian office in downtown Toronto. [1] In 1936, Toronto businessman William S. Gibson and a team of investors bought out National Cellulose, and Dominion Cellulose was formed. Dominion Cellulose continued to sell its Facelle tissue in Canada until 1961, when the company was sold to Canadian International Paper Company and was renamed Facelle Company. In 1963, the Facelle Company launched its Royale brand with two products: 3-ply facial tissue, and 2-ply bathroom tissue.
In August 1991 the Royale brand was sold to Procter & Gamble where it remained until 2001 when Irving Tissue purchased P&G’s Weston Road plant in Toronto, Ontario, along with the rights to the Royale brand. [2]
The Royale brand is represented by the Royale Kittens, two white Persian kittens meant to represent the softness of Royale products. [1] Royale’s longest running television ad campaign ran from 1973 to 1984, and featured the Royale Kittens playing on a white shag rug and unwinding rolls of bathroom tissue. Since then, the Kittens have appeared in television, print, and Internet marketing material for Royale. In 2010, an official Facebook community page was created in the name of the Royale Kittens. [2]
Other memorable campaigns include Royale’s "The Nose" spot featuring pro hockey player Eddie Shack. [3]
Toilet paper is a tissue paper product primarily used to clean the anus and surrounding region of feces, and to clean the external genitalia and perineal area of urine.
Kimberly-Clark Corporation is an American multinational personal care corporation that produces mostly paper-based consumer products. The company manufactures sanitary paper products and surgical & medical instruments. Kimberly-Clark brand name products include Kleenex facial tissue, Kotex feminine hygiene products, Cottonelle, Scott and Andrex toilet paper, Wypall utility wipes, KimWipes scientific cleaning wipes and Huggies disposable diapers and baby wipes.
The Scott Paper Company was the world's largest manufacturer and marketer of sanitary tissue products with operations in 22 countries. Its products were sold under a variety of well-known brand names, including Scott Tissue, Cottonelle, Baby Fresh, Scottex and Viva. Consolidated sales of its consumer and commercial products totalled approximately $3.6 billion in 1994.

Since 2005, it has been an independently operated and managed subsidiary of Koch Industries. As of Fall 2019, the company employed more than 35,000 people at more than 180 locations in North America, South America and Europe.
Domtar Corporation is a North American pulp and paper company that manufactures and markets wood fiber-based pulp and paper products. The company operates pulp mills and paper mills in Windsor, Quebec; Dryden, Ontario; Kamloops, British Columbia; Ashdown, Arkansas; Hawesville, Kentucky; Plymouth, North Carolina; Marlboro County, South Carolina; and Kingsport, Tennessee. While Domtar operated independently for several decades and was listed on the Toronto and New York stock exchanges, the company was acquired by Paper Excellence Group in November 2021 and has since operated as a subsidiary.

It is a subsidiary of the Irving Group of Companies; consisting of Irving Oil Refinery, Canaport, Irving Tissue, Irving Equipment, Kent Building Supplies, New Brunswick Railway, New Brunswick Southern Railway, Eastern Maine Railway, Maine Northern Railway, Brunswick News, Acadia Broadcasting, Irving Shipbuilding, Cavendish Farms, amoung others. It is involved in many industries including forestry, forestry products, agriculture, food processing, transportation, and shipbuilding. JDI along with Irving Oil, Ocean Capital Investments and Brunswick News, forms the bulk of the Irving Group of Companies, which groups the interests of the Irving family.
Tissue paper or simply tissue is a lightweight paper or, light crêpe paper. Tissue can be made from recycled paper pulp on a paper machine.
Facial tissue and paper handkerchief refers to a class of soft, absorbent, disposable papers that are suitable for use on the face. They are disposable alternatives for cloth handkerchiefs. The terms are commonly used to refer to the type of paper tissue, usually sold in boxes, that is designed to facilitate the expulsion of nasal mucus from the nose (nose-blowing) although it may refer to other types of facial tissues such as napkins and wipes.
Andrex is a British brand of toilet roll. It is owned by the American company Kimberly-Clark. The "Andrex Puppy", a Labrador Retriever puppy that appears on the company's television advertisements, is synonymous with the brand.

Cottonelle is an American brand of toilet paper produced by Kimberly-Clark. The company has made several different toilet paper types such as regular, Cottonelle Double, (Two-ply) Cottonelle Ultra, Cottonelle Aloe & E, Cottonelle Kids, and Cottonelle Extra Strength, and are currently sold in the United States and Australia under the Kleenex brand.

Cellulose is a good insulator and is also polar, having a dielectric constant significantly greater than one. Electrical paper products are classified by their thickness, with tissue considered papers less than 1.5 mils (0.0381 mm) thickness, and board considered more than 20 mils (0.508 mm) thickness.

Nibong Tebal Paper Mill has a strong presence not only in Malaysia, but also in Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam.
