Ruan de Vries

Ruan de Vries (born 1 February 1986) [1] is a hurdler from South Africa. In 2010 he competed at the 2010 African Championships in Nairobi and won the bronze medal in the 110-metre hurdles with a time of 13.98 seconds.

Decathlon Athletic track and field competition consisting of ten events

The decathlon is a combined event in athletics consisting of ten track and field events. The word "decathlon" was formed, in analogy to the word "pentathlon", from Greek δέκα and ἄθλος. Michelle "Shelly" Jenneke is an Australian hurdler and model. She won a silver medal for the 100 m hurdles at the 2010 Summer Youth Olympics and the 100 m hurdles at the 2016 Australian Athletics Championships to qualify for the Rio Olympic Games. In 2012, she received worldwide media attention after her pre-race warm-up dance went viral on the internet and was featured in the 2013 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.
