Tibor Benedek was a Hungarian water polo player and coach, widely regarded as one of the greatest players of all time. He played on the gold medal squads at the 2000 Summer Olympics, 2004 Summer Olympics and 2008 Summer Olympics. Benedek also competed at the 1992 and 1996 Summer Olympics, where the Hungarian team placed 6th and 4th, respectively.

Ilja Mohandas "Andy" Hoepelman is a Dutch former Olympic water polo player and current professor in Medicine, subspecialty Infectious Diseases. He has more than 500 peer reviewed articles on his name. He won an Olympic bronze medal at the 1976 Montreal Olympics as part of the Dutch men's team. He is with his Masters team HZC de Robben European champion in Istanbul (2011), Budapest (2013), Rijeka (2016) and Kranj (2018). In 2015 the team became world Champion in Kazan. From 2012-2016 he was a member of the LEN TWPC. Since 2017 he has been a member of the FINA TWPC, where his interest is in modernizing Waterpolo rules, education of referees and beach water polo. He was cofounder and chairman of the regional Waterpolo training Centre "Talent Centraal" until 2015 when TC was discontinued. In 2018 he founded together with others a regional Waterpolo training center where he currently serves as chairman. Since July 2020 he has been chairman of the Dutch Waterpolo club UZSC, 6 times champion in the Netherlands since 2014.
Miho Bošković is a Croatian professional water polo player. He was part of the Croatia national team, that won the gold medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics, as well as gold medals at the 2007 World Championship and 2010 European Championship, and bronze medals at the 2009 and 2011 World Championships.
Filip Filipović is a Serbian water polo player. He was a member of the Serbia men's national water polo teams that won bronze medals at the 2008 and 2012 Olympics and gold medals in 2016 and 2020. He also held the world title in 2009 and 2015 and the European title in 2003, 2006, 2012, 2014, 2016 and 2018. He was named Most Valuable Player at the 2011 World Championships. He was also voted as the male water polo "World Player of the Year" in 2011, 2014 and 2021 by the FINA magazine. He played for Pro Recco in Italy and won three LEN Champions League and three LEN Super Cup with them. Currently, he plays for Olympiacos.

Mlađan Janović is a Montenegrin water polo player. He currently plays for AN Brescia and he is a long-standing member of the Montenegrin national water polo team. He was part of the Montenegro national team that was crowned European Champion at the 2008 European Championship in Málaga.
Nikola Janović is a Montenegrin water polo player and the former Minister of Sports and Youth of Montenegro. He was one of the best water polo player in the world. He was a captain of the Montenegro men's national water polo team and a World and European champion with SRJ, Serbia and Montenegro, and Montenegro. He is a member of the Parliament of Montenegro.
Maro Joković is a Croatian water polo player. He is left-handed and plays in the right wing position. He competed at the 2008, 2012 and 2016 Olympics and won a gold medal in 2012 and a silver in 2016. He held the world title in 2007 and the European title in 2010.
Ratko Rudić is a retired Croatian water polo coach and a former water polo player. As of 2015, he has won 38 medals as a coach at major events, making him the most successful water polo coach in history, and second most successful team sport coach of all time. He won four gold medals, of which three consecutive, with three different national teams at the Summer Olympics, as well as three gold medals with three national teams at the World Championships, among many others. In 2007 was inducted into the International Swimming Hall of Fame, described as "one of the best, if not the best, water polo coach to walk the deck of the pool".
Gojko Pijetlović is a Serbian water polo player who plays as goalkeeper for VK Novi Beograd and the Serbia men's national water polo team.
Elvis Fatović is a Croatian professional water polo coach and former player. He is currently the head coach of the Club Natació Atlètic-Barceloneta senior men's team.
Andro Bušlje is a Croatian water polo player who competed in the 2008 Summer Olympics, 2012 Summer Olympics and 2016 Summer Olympics. At the 2012 Summer Olympics he was part of the Croatian team that won the gold medal. He is right-handed and plays the center defender position. From 2016 to 2019 he played for Greek powerhouse Olympiacos, with whom he won the 2017–18 LEN Champions League. He started playing water polo at the age of 12, and he made his national team debut in 2005. Bušlje is one of the top defenders in the world.
Sandro Sukno is a Croatian former professional water polo player. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, he competed for the Croatia national team in the men's event winning the gold medal. He also won a silver medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics. He last played for VK Jug. He currently works as an assistant coach of the senior men's Croatia national team.
Alexander Parsonage is a British water polo player. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, he competed for the Great Britain men's national water polo team in the men's event. He is 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs 192 pounds.
Dušan Mandić is a Serbian water polo player who plays for VK Novi Beograd. He was a part of the Montenegrin junior water polo team before opting to play for Serbia. With Serbian junior national team he won a gold medal at the 2011 Junior Water Polo World Championship. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, he competed for the Serbia men's national water polo team in the men's event.
Krisztián Péter Manhercz is a Hungarian male water polo player, playing at the wing position. He is part of the Hungary men's national water polo team. He competed at the 2016 Men's European Water Polo Championship and 2016 Olympics. He won bronze at the 2020 Olympics.
Andria Bitadze is a professional Georgian water polo player for WPC Dinamo Tbilisi and the Georgian national team. Previously he has played for Jadran Herceg Novi, CN Barcelona, VK Crvena Zvezda and Roma vis Nova.
