Ruben Palma (Santiago, Chile 1954) is a Chilean-born Danish writer.
Rubén Palma was born in Santiago, Chile, in 1954 [1] . He left Chile in 1973 immediately after the coup [2] . Since 1974, he has resided in Denmark where he became Danish citizen. In 1985, he started to write in Danish, a language he adopted as means of literary expression. [3]
Palma is a member of the Danish Author's Society and has worked for the Danish Red Cross since 1985. [1]
Ruben Palma has published a number of fictional works in diverse genres. A collection of short stories, The trail we leave, initially in Danish, was printed in the United States in 2004 by Curbstone Press. His most recent volumes include a book of poems in Danish (2006) and a chamber opera in Danish and English.

He is best known for playing the leading role of Christian in Ruben Östlund's 2017 film The Square, which won the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival, and for the role of Fjölnir in Robert Eggers's 2022 film The Northman. In 2019, he played the role of Sasha Mann for the final season of The Affair, and he rose to further international recognition by starring as Count Dracula in the BBC/Netflix series Dracula (2020). For his role in The Square, he became the first Dane to win the European Film Award for Best Actor. Bang has also developed a music career under the moniker of This Is Not America.

Ruben Markussen, known mononymously as Ruben, is a Norwegian singer and songwriter. He grew up in Bjarkøy, a small village of 300 inhabitants in Harstad, northern Norway. His debut single "Walls" charted in Norway on the basis of huge streaming online charting on VG-lista, the official Norwegian Singles Chart, making it to number 8. As a result, he moved to Oslo to further his career. He was nominated for the Norwegian P3 Gold 2018 award in 2018 "Newcomer" category for the song during Spellemannprisen, receiving a scholarship. His follow up "Lay by Me" has charted in Norway, reaching number 8. Both singles also charted in Sweden. He is signed to Universal Records in Norway.
