Rumuosi is a community which is located in Obio-Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State, Nigeria. [1]

Description

Rumuosi as a commmunity shares boundary with alakaiah, Rumuolaogu, ozuoba, rumuekini, and choba. Rumuosi is one of 17 electoral wards administered by the Obio-Akpor Local Government Council. [2]

Rumuosi was originally an Ikwerre village on the outer fringes of Port Harcourt, governed by a paramount king. The current king is HRH, Eze Titus Bekweri Okemini Akani. [3] [4]

Obio is one of the seven groups of the ancient Ikwerre ethnic nationality. The Community constitute part of Obio/Akpor Local Government Area and entire Port Harcourt Local Government Area both in Rivers State of Nigeria.
