Northumberland County
The Northumberland County, Ontario Rural Ramble is hosted by the members of the Northumberland Federation of Agriculture. The Northumberland County tour occurs each August on the third weekend, from 10 am until 4 pm on both Saturday and Sunday. It has been held annually since 1999. Dairy, pork, poultry, horticultural, alternative, organic, beef, bison, maple sugar, honey, sheep, equestrian, alpaca and many other kinds of agricultural operations have been showcased on the tour over the years.
Northumberland County is an upper tier level of municipal government situated on the north shore of Lake Ontario, east of Toronto in Central Ontario.
Each year may bring one or two "century farms"—those farms who have earned a "century" designation through having been in business for 100 years or more, often in the same family—to public notice and there are always displays showing how things WERE done and how things ARE done now.
A limited number of commercial outlets related to agriculture are allowed to join the tour each year, and these outlets are only allowed to be a part of the tour twice before they are required to allow someone else a turn. Such outlets allow the tour to help highlight farm gate or rural business locations that otherwise might not be noticed by urbanites and encourage tour visitors to participate in the shop local movement during and after the weekend.
Many of the towns and villages of the County have activities and events occurring on the same weekend—things like the Warkworth Long Lunch, the RibFest, and the Havelock Country Jamboree occur at the same time, so visitors can combine events and make a weekend of it.
Warkworth is a community in the municipality of Trent Hills, Northumberland in Central Ontario, Canada. Originally known as Percy Mills, the village of Warkworth was incorporated in 1857, and became part of Trent Hills when the latter was formed in 2001. Warkworth is named after Warkworth, Northumberland.
The Havelock Country Jamboree is a four-day country music camping festival held in the village of Havelock, Ontario. Canada's Largest Country Music and Camping Festival. The festival runs Thursday through Sunday on the third weekend in August every year. The 30th Anniversary Celebration is scheduled for Aug. 15- 18th 2019. The Jamboree has Built New World Class Twin Stages each stage measuring 60'wide by 40' deep.
The Ontario Agricultural College (OAC) originated at the agricultural laboratories of the Toronto Normal School, and was officially founded in 1874 as an associate agricultural college of the University of Toronto. Since 1964, it has become affiliated with the University of Guelph, which operates four campuses throughout Ontario.
The Canadian National Exhibition (CNE), also known as The Exhibition or The Ex, is an annual event that takes place at Exhibition Place in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, during the 18 days leading up to and including Canadian Labour Day, the first Monday in September. With approximately 1.5 million visitors each year, the CNE is Canada's largest annual fair and the fifth largest in North America. The first Canadian National Exhibition took place in 1879, largely to promote agriculture and technology in Canada. Agriculturists, engineers, and scientists exhibited their discoveries and inventions at the CNE to showcase the work and talent of the nation. As Canada has grown as a nation, the CNE has also changed over time, reflecting the growth in diversity and innovation, though agriculture and technology remain a large part of the CNE today. To many people in the Greater Toronto Area and the surrounding communities, the CNE is an annual family tradition.
Ballinasloe is a town in the easternmost part of County Galway in Connacht. It is one of the largest towns in County Galway with a population of 6,662 people as of the 2016 census.
An agricultural show is a public event exhibiting the equipment, animals, sports and recreation associated with agriculture and animal husbandry. The largest comprise a livestock show, a trade fair, competitions, and entertainment. The work and practices of farmers, animal fanciers, cowboys, and zoologists may be displayed. The terms agricultural show and livestock show are synonymous with the North American terms county fair and state fair.
Southgate is a township in western Ontario, Canada, in the southeast corner of Grey County. Southgate was formed on January 1, 2000, when the Village of Dundalk, the Township of Proton and the Township of Egremont were amalgamated. The headwaters of the South Saugeen, Beatty Saugeen and Grand Rivers are located in Southgate.
Markham Fair is one of Canada's oldest country fairs, an annual event established in 1844 and hosted by the Markham, Ontario and East York agricultural society. With over 700 volunteers working on more than 70 committees, Markham Fair is the largest community-based volunteer organization in Canada. The fair and fairgrounds are owned by the Markham and East York Agricultural Society.

Manchester Pride is an annual LGBT pride festival and parade held each summer in the city of Manchester, England. It is one of the longest running in the country and attracts thousands of visitors to the city's gay village, Canal Street, each year. The festival's events that take place within the Village require a paid-for Pride wristband for entry, while other events, such as the parade, can be watched by any spectator.
The Kent County Show is an event hosted annually by the Kent County Agricultural Society at their Kent Showground headquarters at Detling near Maidstone in Kent, England. The event is primarily an agricultural show, showcasing the produce of Kent farmers such as soft fruit, alongside a livestock show and various other attractions such as demonstrations of traditional skills like blacksmithery and displays from the Royal Artillery.
Barleylands Farm Park and Craft Village is located in Barleylands, near Billericay, Essex.
Festival Latinoamericano, or Latin American Festival, is an annual three-day Labor Day weekend festival in downtown Provo, Utah. The festival highlights Utah's Hispanic culture through food, vendors, and performances and is free to the public. Centro Hispano hosts Festival Latinoamericano. It is currently in its fourteenth year.

The Arkansas River Valley is a region in Arkansas defined by the Arkansas River in the western part of the state. Generally defined as the area between the Ozark and Ouachita Mountains, the River Valley is characterized by flat lowlands covered in fertile farmland and lakes periodically interrupted by high peaks. Mount Magazine, Mount Nebo, and Petit Jean Mountain compose the Tri-Peaks Region, a further subdivision of the River Valley popular with hikers and outdoors enthusiasts. In addition to the outdoor recreational activities available to residents and visitors of the region, the River Valley contains Arkansas's wine country as well as hundreds of historical sites throughout the area.It is one of six natural divisions of Arkansas.
Newport Life Magazine is a lifestyles magazine based in Newport, Rhode Island. Founded in 1993, the magazine is published eight times annually and covers the events, people, history and places of Newport County. Newport Life Magazine is located at 101 Malbone Road in the Newport Daily News building. The magazine is published bi-monthly. Issues include: Jan/Feb, March/April, May/June, July, August, Sept/Oct and Nov/Dec.
The Drumbo Fall Fair is a three-day annual agricultural event which takes place in the village of Drumbo, Blandford-Blenheim township, Oxford County, Ontario, Canada. The fairgrounds are at 42 Center Street, a few minutes from the 401 highway. The fair is held annually on the third weekend after Labour Day.
Kempenfest is an outdoor arts and crafts festival in Barrie, Ontario, Canada. The festival occurs annually over the August long weekend and features over 300 artisans, an antique show, food demonstrations, children’s activities and live entertainment. It is named after Kempenfelt Bay and began in 1971.
Yuma Lettuce Days is an annual festival occurring in Yuma, Arizona during late February and early March. Due to the sunny high desert climate and availability of water from the Colorado River, Yuma has become a major supplier of winter produce in the United States. This regional festival, like many regional vegetable festivals such as the Gilroy, California Garlic Festival or the Vidalia, Georgia Onion Festival, highlights a specific produce item that has become economically important for the area.
The International Plowing Match (IPM), first held in Ontario, is North America's largest outdoor agricultural and rural expo. It is usually held in late September, and usually attracts more than 80,000 visitors over the 5-day event. Each International Plowing Match takes years of planning, and months of labour to prepare for the final event. It has several attractions in which visitors can go to, including the plow fields, Tented City, and the RV park. A transportation network of tractors and wagons carry visitors to and from different areas of the site. The IPM is organized and run by the Ontario Plowmen's Association (OPA).
