Ryan Broussard (born September 14, 1989) is an American actor and former Minor League Baseball player. [1] He is known for playing Will Putnam in the Hulu mystery comedy-drama series Only Murders in the Building and Mike Sherman in the Fox police procedural crime series Alert: Missing Persons Unit. [2]
Broussard was born on September 14, 1989, in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana. He attended Louisiana State University at Eunice, where he played college baseball. [1] [3] In 2010, he was drafted by the Los Angeles Angels. He played with the team for two years as a shortstop before returning to Louisiana to study theatre at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Broussard received an MFA in acting from Brown University in 2019. [1] [4] As of 2022, he lives in Brooklyn. [3]

The Indiana State Sycamores baseball team is the NCAA Division I baseball program of Indiana State University, located in Terre Haute, Indiana. It is a member of the Missouri Valley Conference. The team last played in the NCAA Division I Baseball Championship in 2024. Their first season was 1896. The Sycamores have had 12 All-Americans, 26 Major Leaguers, and more than 2,200 victories. The team's most successful season was in 1986, when the team appeared in the College World Series and finished with a record of 48–21. The Sycamores have appeared in the NCAA Division I Baseball Championship in 1979, 1983, 1984, 1987, 1989, 1995, 2012, 2014, 2019, 2021, 2023, and 2024.

Only Murders in the Building is an American mystery comedy-drama television series created by Steve Martin and John Hoffman. The main plot focuses on a trio of strangers, all with a shared interest in true crime podcasts, who become friends while investigating a succession of suspicious murders in the Arconia, their affluent Upper West Side apartment building, and producing their own podcast about the cases, titled Only Murders in the Building. Its three ten-episode seasons premiered on Hulu in August 2021, June 2022, and August 2023. In October 2023, it was renewed for a fourth season which premiered on August 27, 2024.
