Ryan McCurdy (born 23 May 1991) is a former professional footballer who played as a centre-back. He is currently the technical director for the Van Isle Wave Program. [1]
In 2012, McCurdy signed with Kingston FC in the Canadian Soccer League, and in 2013 featured in the CSL Championship final. [2]
In 2015 and 2016, McCurdy played for League1 Ontario side Kingston Clippers. [3] [4] [5] In 2016, he made eight appearances for Kingston in league play. [4]
In 2017, McCurdy captained PDL side Victoria Highlanders, making fourteen appearances. [6]
On 17 April 2019, McCurdy signed with Canadian Premier League side Pacific FC. [7] On 29 April 2019, McCurdy made his professional debut for Pacific as a substitute in a 1–0 win over HFX Wanderers. [8] He made a total of ten league appearances for Pacific that season. [8] On 4 November 2019, the club announced it would not be offering McCurdy a new contract for the following season. [9] After the conclusion of the season he retired from professional soccer. [1]
Kingston FC were a Canadian soccer team based in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. The team was awarded a franchise in 2011 as a member of the Canadian Soccer League, and participated in the league for three seasons, 2012 to 2014. In February 2015, Kingston FC formally announced that it had withdrawn from the Canadian Soccer League for the 2015 season. Furthermore, the Club announced that it had made application to the new League1 Ontario for a new professional team that will play in Belleville, Ontario.
