Ryan Saranich is an American jazz fusion saxophonist. Aside from being a saxophonist, he is also a drummer, bassist, and pianist. [1]

Education

Previously, Ryan had attended Northwest School of the Arts, [2] in Charlotte, North Carolina. For higher education, Ryan attended the University of North Carolina at Wilmington [3] and Berklee College of Music.He is now attending the prestigious Berklee College of Music[ citation needed ].

Performances

Since 2016, Ryan has been a member of the tribute band Brit Floyd. Since joining, Ryan has performed on Saxophones, Clarinet, Keyboards, Bass, Guitars, and Percussion.

In addition, Ryan has performed soundtracks and recordings for internationally released major motion pictures [4] and documentaries.

Ryan is an active writer and arranger, primarily in the jazz and pop settings.

Solo recordings

Ryan released his first album, "Doc's Blues" on April 28, 2008 [5] with the help of keyboardist Joseph Wooten, drummer Nate Morton, and Brazilian musicians Raphael Du Valle (bass) and Ronaldo Pizzi (keyboards). His second work was released December 21, 2010. It is entitled, "All By Myself" where all instruments are played by him. [6] A third release, "Story" was released March 28, 2013 featuring many talented musicians from the Boston area, but also including French vocalist Guillaume Eyango, a frequent collaborator. [7] A fourth release, "Foodventure", was a collaboration of Charlotte, NC musicians that released February 19th, 2016 with Ryan as a leader. Ryan's most recent recording is entitled, "Others' Odysseys" releasing on Sept 25th, 2018.

Soft Machine are a British rock band from Canterbury formed in mid-1966 by Mike Ratledge, Robert Wyatt, Kevin Ayers, Daevid Allen and Larry Nowlin. As a central band of the Canterbury scene, the group became one of the first British psychedelic acts and later moved into progressive and jazz rock, becoming a purely instrumental band in 1971. Gary Willis is an American bassist and composer known foremost as the co-founder of the jazz fusion band Tribal Tech. Aside from his work in Tribal Tech, Willis has worked with numerous other jazz musicians including Wayne Shorter, Dennis Chambers, and Allan Holdsworth. "Slaughterhouse 3", released in 2006, continued his collaboration with drummer Kirk Covington as well as saxophonist Llibert Fortuny to form a modern jazz/funk/groove power-trio. Willis's latest solo CD Larger Than Life was released on the Abstractlogix label in 2015.

William Holland is an English musician, DJ, and record producer. Holland records under various pseudonyms, including Quantic, the Quantic Soul Orchestra, The Limp Twins, Flowering Inferno, and Ondatrópica. His music features elements of tropical, cumbia, salsa, bossa nova, soul, funk and jazz. Holland plays guitars, bass, double bass, piano, organ, saxophone, accordion and percussion. Much of his sound is original composition, rather than sampling of other artists' material. In addition to his original compositions, he has also produced remixes of over 30 songs.

He also holds an Honorary Doctorate Degree in the Arts from Universidad del Sagrado Corazón. Zenón has released many albums as a band leader and appeared on over 100 recordings as a sideman.

Aubrey Suwito started his musical journey at the age of 6 and has since written songs for various artists, most notably Gemilang for Jaclyn Victor which won multiple awards including the Asian Music Festival and Anugerah Juara Lagu. He was the musical director on Malaysian Idol. Aubrey also worked as musical director for the hit reality television talent search competition One in a Million. It was the final studio album to feature The Headhunters, and a number of guest musicians including saxophonist Wayne Shorter, a full brass section, three different guitarists, and Stevie Wonder on harmonica.

Dywane Thomas Jr., professionally known as MonoNeon, is an American bassist, experimental musician, singer and songwriter. His work, spanning multiple experimental projects and collaborations, including with American musician Prince, has seen an online cult following. Thomas was the last bassist Prince hired before his death in 2016, and he additionally played bass on American singer Ne-Yo song "Makin' A Movie" released in 2010. MonoNeon also played bass on Georgia Anne Muldrow's EP "Ms. One" (2014). He has since become known for his videos that harmonize viral videos with basslines, and his compositions that utilize microtonality. He is a native of Memphis, Tennessee.

Black Is the Color is an album by the American saxophonist Joe Henderson, released in 1972 on Milestone. The original idea for the album was "to approach it entirely from the standpoint of having no pre-conceived ideas for the musicians to relate to." However, after listening to a tape copy of one segment of the original session, the saxophonist, "became aware of further possibilities. Making full use of 16-track tape, we could add to and improve upon what had already been recorded by multiple overdubbing of new parts, by myself and others, that would become permanent additions to the track." The players include keyboardist George Cables, bassists Dave Holland and Ron Carter, drummer Jack DeJohnette and percussionist Airto.
