Samuel Olusegun Oladele (born 30 August 1955) is the 8th President of Christ Apostolic Church. [3] He was inaugurated in 2021. [4]

Ministry

He started ministry at the age of 14 and attended CAC Bible Training School (now CAC Theological Seminary) and graduated in 1974. He was employed to work as a tutor at CAC Bible Training School until 1977 when He travelled to the United Kingdom where he attended the International Bible Training Institute, West Sussex. He returned to Nigeria in 1980. [5]

He worked as an Assembly Pastor, promoted to a district superintendent, Chairman Of CAC Oke-Ado Dcc, then promoted to the post of General Supridentent of Christ Apostolic Church till 2020 when he was appointed as President of Christ Apostolic Church. [6]

Appointment

Pastor Samuel Oladele was appointed as President of Christ Apostolic Church in October 2020 by the General Council of the Church. [7] His Inauguration was held on 20 March 2021 at the general secretariat of the church, CAC All Saints Chapel. [8]

Pilgrim Holiness Church (PHC) or International Apostolic Holiness Church (IAHC) is a Christian denomination associated with the holiness movement that split from the Methodist Episcopal Church through the efforts of Martin Wells Knapp in 1897. It was first organized in Cincinnati, Ohio, as the International Holiness Union and Prayer League (IHU/IAHC). Knapp, founder of the IAHC, ordained and his Worldwide Missions Board sent Charles and Lettie Cowman who had attended God's Bible School to Japan in December 1900. By the International Apostolic Holiness Churches Foreign Missionary Board and the co-board of the Revivalist the Cowmans had been appointed the General Superintendents and the Kilbournes the vice-General Superintendent for Korea, Japan and China December 29, 1905. The organization later became the Pilgrim Holiness Church in 1922, the majority of which merged with the Wesleyan Methodists in 1968 to form the Wesleyan Church.

The Joseph Ayo Babalola University (JABU) is a private Nigerian university located in Ikeji-Arakeji, Osun State, Nigeria, established in 2004 by the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) Worldwide. The university is named after the first spiritual leader of the Christ Apostolic Church, Joseph Ayo Babalola (1904–1959); it is located at the place where it is said that the Apostle was called by God to slay the Ogobungo ogre in 1928. Joseph Ayo Babalola University is a fully residential institution. The university offers courses in the following colleges; Agricultural Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Humanities, Law, Management Sciences, Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, and Health Sciences. It was the first entrepreneurial university in Nigeria. The first Chancellor of the University was Oba Oladele Olashore (CON).

Ayodele Joseph Oritsegbubemi Oritsejafor, known as Papa Ayo Oritsejafor, is the founding and Senior Pastor of Word of Life Bible Church, located in Warri, Nigeria. He became the national president of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) on 7 February 2005, a position he held for five years. Gabriel Oladele Olutola was a Nigerian-born author, pastor and motivational speaker. He was the former President of The Apostolic Church Nigeria and chairman, Lagos, Western and Northern Areas (LAWNA) after he was inducted simultaneously into both posts in 2011 and 2009 respectively. He also served as the Chancellor of Samuel Adegboyega University. Gabriel Olutola retired on 29 April 2017 and was replaced by Sampson Igwe as President of The Apostolic Church Nigeria and Segun Awojide as the LAWNA Territorial Chairman. Olutola was among the Ijeshan leaders who helped to encourage Pentecostalism in Nigeria. He has been called one of the "notable servants of God" from Osun State. When asked what he would do after his retirement at 84, Olutola said he would continue to work for the Lord. Olutola died on 14 February at the age of 90.

The organisation represents Pentecostal Christians in Nigeria and addresses certain social and religious issues in the country.
