S. Dale High is Chair Emeritus of Lancaster, Pennsylvania-based High Industries Inc. and High Real Estate Group LLC. He is a past board member of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. [1]
High is a graduate of Elizabethtown College. In 1995, S. Dale High founded the S. Dale High Center for Family Business at the college. [2]
In 1980, High created the High Foundation, a charitable organization for addressing poverty and community conservancy in central Pennsylvania and elsewhere. Beneficiaries of the foundation include Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology, the Water Street Mission, the Lancaster Conservancy, the Fulton Theatre, and the Lancaster County Community Foundation. In 2022, High and his family transferred their stock in High Industries to the High Foundation, making the charitable organization the majority owner of the $570 million business. [3]

Elizabethtown station is an Amtrak railroad station on the Keystone Corridor in Elizabethtown, Lancaster County in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. The station is served by Amtrak's Keystone Service between New York City and Harrisburg, and by the Pennsylvanian between New York and Pittsburgh. The station was built in 1915 by the Pennsylvania Railroad to replace another that had been built in 1900. The station building was closed in 1977 by Amtrak. The title to the building was transferred to the borough of Elizabethtown in 1998, and it was leased back to Amtrak. From 2009 to 2011, the station underwent a 21-month renovation to make it handicapped-accessible.

It parallels and twice crosses the Letort Spring Run, a limestone stream nationally recognized for its role in fly fishing heritage. The trail is an expression of the Letort Regional Authority's mission to promote appreciation of the Letort, as well as to protect the stream, greenway, and watershed from degradation.
