SABC Special Assignment

Special Assignment is an investigative current affairs programme on SABC. Since August 1998 [1] the programme has covered news events in South Africa and beyond, often disclosing criminal activities and atrocities unknown to the public. Ashraf Garda is the show's current host. [2] The show is screened weekly on SABC 3 at 21:30 GMT. [3]

Top Billing was a South African lifestyle television programme that aired on SABC3 on Saturday evenings from 18:00–19:00 with repeats on Sundays at 12:00. It was founded by Basetsana Kumalo and Patience Stevens, who own the Tswelopele Production company. The show was the longest-running entertainment and lifestyle programme in South Africa, broadcasting since 1992. In addition to a variety of presenters, there was a voice-over guide throughout the programme. A magazine of the same name was launched in March 2004, containing similar content to the show.

Ashraf Garda is a media host in South Africa. He is a radio presenter on SAfm and hosts the show "Media@SAfm", as well as SAfm's "Afternoon Talk" and became the host of the South African Broadcasting Corporation's investigative program "Special Assignment" in April 2011.
