Sportsklubben Rye is a sports club based in Oslo, Norway. It has sections for cycling, triathlon, swimming and athletics.
SK Rye is responsible for arranging Nordmarka Rundt, Øyeren Rundt, Oslo Triathon, Ryeløpet and one stage of the Scott Cup every season.
Riders from SK Rye have dominated the 540 km Styrkeprøven race in recent years, and also hold the record for the fastest time.

Grünerløkka is a borough of the city of Oslo, Norway. Grünerløkka became part of the city of Oslo in 1858. Grünerløkka is a traditional working class district, but from the late 20th century a gentrification process has taken place in the area. Although it is located in the East End, it has a relatively high price level today compared to other East End areas.
The Ring Line is the newest rapid transit loop line of the Oslo Metro of Oslo, Norway. It connects to the Sognsvann Line in the west and the Grorud Line in the east; along with these two lines and the Common Tunnel, the Ring Line creates a loop serving both the city centre and Nordre Aker borough. The 5.0 kilometres (3.1 mi)-long line has three stations: Nydalen, Storo and Sinsen. Four-fifths of the line runs within two tunnels, with the 1.0-kilometer (0.62 mi) section between Storo and Sinsen, including both stations, being the only at-grade part. The line connects to the Grorud Line north of Carl Berners plass and with the Sognsvann Line north of Ullevål stadion.
Olaf Rye was a Norwegian-Danish military officer. He died in battle during the First Schleswig War and is considered to have been a Danish war hero.
Lars Høgvold was a Norwegian ski jumper. He was awarded the Holmenkollen medal in 1916 and finished 6th at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 1926. He was born in Løten and competed for Løiten SF, Furnes SF and Lillehammer SK. He was a board member for 25 years in Lillehammer SK, 4 years in Gudbrandsdal District of Skiing and 10 years in the Norwegian Ski Federation.
Jakob Vaage was a Norwegian educator, author and historian. He served as secretary of the Association for the Promotion of Skiing and curator of the Holmenkollen Ski Museum.
The 2005 Norwegian Football Cup was the 100th edition of the Norwegian Football Cup. The tournament started on 7 May 2005 and was contested by 128 teams, going through 7 rounds before a winner could be declared. The final match was played on 6 November at Ullevaal stadion in Oslo. Molde won their 2nd Norwegian Championship title after defeating Lillestrøm in the final with the score 4–2 after extra time.

Sinsen is a rapid transit station on the Ring Line of the Oslo Metro. It is located at Sinsen in the Sagene borough of Oslo, Norway. Next to the station is the tram station Sinsenkrysset, that has been part of the Sinsen Line of the Oslo Tramway since 1939. The station opened on 20 August 2006, as part of the first section of the Ring Line. The station is served by line 4 and 5 of the metro, as well as several local bus services. Sinsen is a mixed residential and commercial area.

The 1989 Norwegian Football Cup was the 84th edition of the Norwegian Football Cup. The final took place at Ullevaal Stadion in Oslo on 22 October 1989. Viking were in their 8th final, while Molde were in their second final after losing the 1982 final against Brann and therefore had the chance to win the first trophy in the club's history. The match was drawn and was replayed on 29 October 1989 resulting in a win for Viking.

The initiative to the conference was taken by Bjarte Ystebo and the organisation Kristenfolket in cooperation with ICEJ and Norge Idag, and it has been broadcast live by Visjon Norge. The conference includes speeches by leading Norwegian and international commentators and politicians, including party leaders and government ministers.
