Comic Relief is an operating British charity, founded in 1985 by the comedy scriptwriter Richard Curtis and comedian Sir Lenny Henry in response to the famine in Ethiopia. The concept of Comic Relief was to get British comedians to make the public laugh, while raising money to help people around the world and in the United Kingdom. A new CEO, Samir Patel, was announced in January 2021.
Carol Patricia Smillie is a Scottish television presenter, actress and former model. Smillie became famous as a presenter on British TV during the 1990s and early 2000s. She was best known for assisting Nicky Campbell on the UK version of the game show Wheel of Fortune between 1989 and 1994. Between 1996 and 2003, she was the main presenter on the BBC One home makeover show Changing Rooms.

The Five Thirty Show is a Scottish topical magazine show, which began broadcasting in Northern and Central Scotland on STV on Monday 28 January 2008. The programme was aired live from STV's Pacific Quay studios in Glasgow, with live link-ups to other parts of Scotland often featuring.

The Hour is a lifestyle magazine programme that was broadcast on STV, the ITV franchise in Northern and Central Scotland, premiering on 26 May 2009. Originally broadcast each weekday afternoon at 5pm, the programme was presented for much of its run by Michelle McManus and Stephen Jardine and broadcast from STV's Pacific Quay studios in Glasgow. The programme moved to a weekly peak time slot in September 2011, but was cancelled in October 2011.
Lorraine is a British breakfast television programme that is broadcast on ITV. Launched on 6 September 2010, it is presented by Lorraine Kelly and in her absence, by relief presenters Christine Lampard or Ranvir Singh and broadcasts live every weekday from 9:00am to 10:00am. The programme features a variety of showbiz, fashion, health, food, celebrity interviews and competitions.

Text Santa was a charity initiative set up in 2011 by ITV to support UK-based charities during the Christmas period. The appeal to the public is to donate money mainly via text donation and profits from merchandise. The telethons have been hosted by popular ITV presenters including Phillip Schofield, Christine Bleakley, and Ant & Dec. The 2015 appeal show was the last after ITV decided to axe the show to make way for an all-year appeal.
Children in Need 2013 is a campaign held in the United Kingdom to raise money for the charity Children in Need. 2013 marks the 33rd anniversary of the appeal which culminated in a live broadcast on BBC One and BBC Two on the evening of Friday 15 November until the early hours of Saturday 16 November. The broadcast was hosted by Sir Terry Wogan, with Tess Daly, Fearne Cotton, Zoe Ball and Nick Grimshaw as co-hosts. The show was broadcast from the BBC in Elstree but also includes regular regional opt-outs. The 2013 appeal marked the first Children in Need broadcast from BBC Elstree Centre after the closing down of the show's previous home Television Centre. Its new studio, adjacent to the set of EastEnders enabled the show to include live segments and performances from the fictional Albert Square including star interviews in The Queen Victoria Pub hosted by cast member Shane Richie.
Kelly-Ann Woodland is a Scottish newsreader and journalist, who co-presents STV's central flag-ship STV News at Six, alongside John MacKay. Woodland presented STV's breakfast bulletin on Daybreak, and later Good Morning Scotland. She also presented STV Edinburgh News and Scotland Tonight.
