The Subsidy Reinvestment and Empowerment Program known as 'SURE-P is a scheme established by the Federal Government of Nigeria during the Jonathan Administration, to re-investing the Federal Government savings from fuel subsidy removal on critical infrastructure projects and social safety net programmes with direct impact on the citizens of Nigeria. [1] SURE-P was established on January 2012 when the Federal Government of Nigeria announced the removal of subsidy on Petroleum Motor Spirit (PMS). [2] The scheme is one of the pivots of Transformation Agenda of the Federal Government. The pioneer Chairman of the program is Dr. Christopher Kolade. He resigned his appointment in September 2013. He was succeeded by General Martin Luther Agwai who himself was succeeded by Mr Ishaya Dare Akau. [3]

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) is a scheme set up by the Nigerian government to involve Nigerian graduates in nation building and the development of the country. There is no military conscription in Nigeria, but since 1973 graduates of universities and later polytechnics have been required to take part in the National Youth Service Corps program for one year. Peter Esele was born on July 24,1972, in Edo state Nigeria. He is a unionist. Esele was the president of the Trade Union Congress (TUC) for two terms from March 2007- June 2013. He also served as President of Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) from April 2006- 2008. Goodluck Jonathan, was inaugurated as the President of Nigeria on February 10, 2010, under special parliamentary procedures, succeeding Umaru Musa Yar'Adua who was unable to carry out Presidential duties, hence his assumption of the office. Jonathan, the People's Democratic Party nominee, was a former university professor and a Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State, an oil-rich state in the South-South geopolitical zone in Nigeria. His running mate, was Namadi Sambo, an erstwhile architect and former governor of Kaduna state, inaugurated as Vice President of Nigeria later on the 19th of May, 2010.

The Ondo State Wealth Creation Agency (WECA) was established in 2009 by the Mimiko administration in response to the quest for economic diversification and the creation of employment in areas relating to Agriculture & Food Security. It was created from the defunct Accelerated Poverty Alleviation Agency. and is designed to develop policies and programs that foster youth participation in Agricultural entrepreneurship in Ondo State. In 2016 the Youth development programs of the agency earned the commendation of the African Development Bank.
