Saadia Idris is a South Sudanese refugee and community mobilizer who was forced to flee to Kakuma, Kenya, at the age of 17 when war devastated her home country and separated her from her family. [1] [2] [3]

Work and advocacy experience

She has been promoting gender-based violence (GBV) awareness and improved access to referral pathways for GBV survivors especially to women, children and girls in the refugee community. [1] [2] She provides mentorship to young refugee girls in Kakuma by connecting girls who have suffered similar experiences, aimed at fostering a safe and supportive community for them. [1] [2]
