Sacred Heart School was a Catholic elementary school located in Lombard, Illinois. The school was part of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Joliet in Illinois. [2]
Sacred Heart School was established in 1912, with the first class of 30 students being taught in a barn owned by local resident Martin Hogan. [3] : 158 [4] In 1913, the school's first elementary school building was built. [3] : 160 The school was originally run by the School Sisters of St. Francis, and had a total enrollment of 66 in 1921. [5] The school was expanded several times over the years. [6] [7]
The school held many activities for students, including an annual runathon [8] and spelling bee. [9]
Sacred Heart School closed at the end of the 2022-2023 school year. [10]

Benet Academy is a private, highly competitive, co-educational, college-preparatory, Benedictine high school in Lisle, Illinois, United States, overseen by the Diocese of Joliet. Founded in 1886, the school was initially established in Chicago as the all-boys St. Procopius College and Academy by Benedictine monks, who also operated the St. Joseph Bohemian Orphanage. In 1898, the orphanage moved to Lisle, about 25 miles (40 km) west of Chicago, to be joined by St. Procopius three years later. In 1926, Benedictine nuns constructed the all-girls Sacred Heart Academy near the orphanage and school in Lisle. The orphanage closed in 1956 to make room for St. Procopius Academy, which separated from the college in 1969. Due to rising costs and waning enrollment, Sacred Heart merged with St. Procopius Academy in 1967 to form Benet Academy on the St. Procopius campus. Since then, numerous building projects have been undertaken to expand Benet's athletics, music, and science programs.

The St. Joseph's Church Complex is a collection of historic buildings located in Fort Madison, Iowa, United States. At one time the complex housed a Catholic parish in the Diocese of Davenport. St. Joseph and St. Mary of the Assumption parishes merged in the 1990s to form Saints Mary and Joseph Parish. In 2007 when that parish merged with Sacred Heart on the west side to form Holy Family Parish, St. Joseph's Church was closed. The former church, chapel, rectory, convent, and school were included as contributing properties in the Park-to-Park Residential Historic District that was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2014.

Sacred Heart Parish was founded in 1912. A combination church/school building was erected in 1913.With Parish and school growth in the early 1920's, the church and school were enlarged in 1928. The present church building was completed in 1958, and the school cafeteria was moved from the lower hall to the former church area. The school continued to grow, and the Stutzke Center was completed in 1960 to house the upper grades. The current Parish Center which includes a gymnasium, athletic storage and meeting rooms was dedicated in January, 2002, where the former convent once stood.
Sacred Heart School in Lombard held their 10th annual runathon on Thursday, February 25, to raise funds for the schools Home and School Association. Pre-school through 8th grade students collected pledges from family and friends prior to running. Over the past ten years, students have raised more than $42,000.
Under the direction of Bishop R. Hicks, the Diocesan Restructuring Committee has decided that Sacred Heart School will close at the end of the 2022-2023 school year.
