Saeed Ahmed Hashmi is a Pakistani politician who has been a Member of the Senate of Pakistan,since March 2021. [3]
Hashmi was first elected as senator in 2003 and reelected as a candidate of Pakistan Muslim League (Q) on seats for Technocrats/Ulema in 2006 Pakistani Senate elections and served till March 2012. [4] [5] [6]
In 2018,Hashmi along with some dissident Balochistan based leaders from PML-N and PML-Q founded Balochistan Awami Party. [7] [8]
He was re-elected as senator as a candidate of Balochistan Awami Party on seats for Technocrats/Ulema in 2021 Pakistani Senate elections. [9]
He also thrice elected as MPA of Balochistan Assembly from his constituency PB-3 (Quetta-III) from 1988 to 1990,1993-1996 and 1997-1999 and also served as provincial minister. [1] [10]
The Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party,abbreviated as PMAP or PKMAP,is a political party in Pakistan's Balochistan province. It was founded by Mahmood Khan Achakzai,who was elected as the chairman,and Sher Ali Bacha,who served as the General Secretary,in March 1989 in Quetta.

General elections were held in Pakistan on 10 October 2002 to elect the 12th National Assembly and four Provincial Assemblies. The elections were held under the military government of Pervez Musharraf. The two mainstream parties,Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League (N) (PML-N) had several restrictions imposed on them and their leaders Benazir Bhutto and Nawaz Sharif were in exile. In order to address the restrictions,PPP created the Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians (PPPP) under the leadership of Ameen Faheem,to contest the elections on its behalf. The PML-N meanwhile,suffering from the party's division into two factions:one that remained loyal to Sharif and were contesting the elections under the leadership of Javed Hashmi,and the other which had broken away to form the pro-Musharraf Pakistan Muslim League (Q) (PML-Q) under the leadership of Mian Muhammad Azhar. The emergence of the PML-Q marked the beginning of multi-party politics in the country,bringing an end to the decade-long two-party system between the PPP and PML-N.
Sardar Mohammad Saleh Bhootani is a Pakistani politician who belongs to a small town Dureji which is located in Lasbela District,Balouchistan. He had been a member of Provincial Assembly of the Balochistan from August 2018 till August 2023. General elections were held in Pakistan on 25 July 2018 to elect the members of the 15th National Assembly and the four Provincial Assemblies. The three major parties were Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI),led by Imran Khan,the Pakistan Muslim League,led by Shehbaz Sharif,and the Pakistan People's Party,led by Bilawal Bhutto. The PTI won the most seats in the National Assembly but fell short of a majority;the party subsequently formed a coalition government with several smaller parties. At the provincial level,the PTI remained the largest party in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP);the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) retained its dominance in Sindh;and the newly formed Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) emerged as the largest party in Balochistan. In Punjab,the result was a hung parliament,with the Pakistan Muslim League (N) winning the most seats. However,after several independent MPAs joined the PTI,the latter became the largest party and was able to form a government.
Sardar Sanaullah Khan Zehri is a Pakistani politician who had been the Chief Minister of Balochistan from 24 December 2015 to 9 December 2017. He belongs to Channal Zarakzai family and is also the Sardar of the Zehri tribe and chief of Jhalawan. Zehri was the central president of the Pakistan Muslim League's Balochistan branch and a confidant of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif He left the PML-N on 7 November 2020.
Maulana Muhammad Khan Sherani is a Pakistani Deobandi religious cleric and politician who established Rabita Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam the breakway faction of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) over rifts with (JUI-F) leader Fazal-ur-Rehman. Provincial elections were held in Balochistan on 8 February 2024 to elect a new provincial legislature. On 5 August 2023,after the approval of the results of the 2023 digital census by the Council of Common Interests headed by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif,elections have been delayed for several months,as new delimitations will be published on 14 December 2023. On 2 November 2023,the Election Commission of Pakistan announced,in agreement with the President of Pakistan,Arif Alvi,that the elections will be held on 8 February 2024. This election will be held concurrently with nationwide general elections and other provincial elections.
