Said A. Alzebda (died 2023) was a Palestinian electrical engineer and academic. He was President of the University College of Applied Sciences until his death in Israeli airstrikes on 31 December 2023.
Alzebda gained a masters and doctorate in communications and computer engineering from the University of Nottingham in the UK. He worked at the University College of Applied Sciences for over 18 years. He was director of development programmes and head of the UCAS Technology Incubator there. [1]
Alzebda, along with his wife and children, was killed by Israeli airstrikes at home in Gaza on 31 December 2023. [2]

University College of Applied Sciences (UCAS) is a technical college in Gaza founded in 1998. It offers 40 majors in engineering, health, technology, administration, education and the humanities. The school had a student population of 6,000 with its main campus is in Gaza City. The College offers undergraduate degrees in a number of specializations such as education technology, technological management and planning, and geographic information systems. Its campus buildings were completely destroyed by Israeli bombing during the Israel–Hamas war on October 19, 2023. Israeli forces then shelled Palestinians living amid the rubble of the university on January 22, 2024. The university's president, prominent academic Said Alzebda, was killed during the Gaza genocide on December 31, 2023.

He is the founder and executive director of Project Unified Assistance, a nonprofit organization working towards the establishment of a humanitarian airport in the Gaza Strip, to be run and operated by the United Nations.
