Said Samih Taleb Darwazah (born 1957) is a Jordanian heir and business executive. He serves as the chairman and chief executive officer (CEO) of Hikma Pharmaceuticals, the FTSE 100 multinational generic pharmaceutical manufacturer founded by his father.

Darwazah was born in May 1957, [1] the son of Samih Darwazah, the founder of Hikma Pharmaceuticals, which he joined in 1980. [2] He has a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University in the US, and an MBA from INSEAD. [3] Darwazah was appointed CEO in July 2007, and chairman in May 2014. [4]

Purdue Pharma American pharmaceutical company

Purdue Pharma L.P., formerly the Purdue Frederick Company, was an American privately held pharmaceutical company founded by John Purdue Gray. It was owned principally by members of the Sackler family as descendants of Mortimer and Raymond Sackler. In 2007, it paid out one of the largest fines ever levied against a pharmaceutical firm for mislabeling of its product OxyContin, and three executives were found guilty of criminal charges.
