Saiju Sreedharan is an Indian film director and editor who primarily works in Malayalam film industry. He is well known for his works in Maheshinte Prathikaram (2016), Mayaanadhi (2017), Kumbalangi Nights (2019), Virus (2019), Android Kunjappan version 5.25 (2019), and Anjaam Paathira (2020). [1] [2]

Career

Sreedharan was born on 17 February 1981. He started his career as a movie poster designer at Papaya Media with his friends. He edited the promotional video of the film " Da Thadiya ". In 2014, he made his editorial debut for the film Gangstar, a neo-noir action thriller film starring Mammootty. [3]

He directed the first upcoming-Malayalam Found footage film titled "Footage", inspired from Blair Witch Project and Cloverfield. [4]

In 2024, He announced his second directorial debut with Tovino Thomas as main lead on an upcoming film titled, "Munpe". The movie is still in production. [5]

Kumbalangi Nights is a 2019 Indian Malayalam-language drama film directed by Madhu C. Narayanan. The directorial debut was written by Syam Pushkaran and jointly produced by Fahadh Faasil and Nazriya Nazim under their production house Fahadh Faasil and Friends, in association with Dileesh Pothan and Syam Pushkaran under Working Class Hero. Footage is a 2024 Indian Malayalam-language thriller film directed by Saiju Sreedharan, marking his directorial debut. The film stars Manju Warrier alongside Vishak Nair and Gayathri Ashok. The film is a found-footage film, a format presenting the narrative through video recordings created by the characters themselves. It is the second found footage movie in Malayalam after Nirmal Baby Varghese's Vazhiye.
