Lucia of Syracuse (283–304), also called Saint Lucia was a Roman Christian martyr who died during the Diocletianic Persecution. She is venerated as a saint in Catholic, Anglican, Lutheran, and Eastern Orthodox Christianity. She is one of eight women explicitly commemorated by Catholics in the Canon of the Mass. Her traditional feast day, known in Europe as Saint Lucy's Day, is observed by Western Christians on 13 December. Lucia of Syracuse was honored in the Middle Ages and remained a well-known saint in early modern England. She is one of the best known virgin martyrs, along with Agatha of Sicily, Agnes of Rome, Cecilia of Rome and Catherine of Alexandria.
Holetown is a small city located in the Caribbean island nation of Barbados. Holetown is located in the parish of Saint James on the sheltered west coast of the island.

Crab Hill is a settlement in Barbados, at the northern end of the parish of Saint Lucy. The place was so named because large numbers of crabs would appear in the area during rainfall; people would catch the crabs and keep them as pets. The population is 727 (2018), which makes it the most populous place in the parish of St. Lucy. Crab Hill is the site of the St. Lucy Police Station. The Mount Gay North Stars Cricket Ground is located in Crab Hill.
Saint Lawrence Gap, Christ Church is one of the best-known neighbourhoods in the country of Barbados. Sometimes just called "the Gap", Saint Lawrence Gap is located on the southern coast of Barbados along the island's Highway 7. Found between Oistins to the east and Worthing to the west, Saint Lawrence Gap features a 1.5-kilometer stretch of bars, hotels, dance clubs, restaurants, inns, resorts, and shops along a white powdery-sand beachfront. It is situated roughly 5 km southeast of the capital city Bridgetown.

The Barbados Transport Board is the government owned bus transport provider in the country of Barbados. The headquarters is located at Weymouth, Roebuck Street, while the main terminal is at Fairchild Street in Saint Michael. The other three terminals are: the Constitution River Terminal (located just across the river from the Main Terminal, The Princess Alice Terminal also in Bridgetown, Saint Michael and the Speightstown Terminal in Speightstown, Saint Peter in the north. Also, the three bus depots are located at Weymouth, Saint Michael, Oistins, Christ Church and Mangrove, Saint Philip.
All Saints' Anglican Church is a historic Church located at Pleasant Hall, Saint Peter, Barbados. The original church dates back to 1649 when a chapel was established to 'ease' the then colonial settlers from having to venture to the St. James Parish Church and the St. Peter's Parish Church. This original church was destroyed by the Great Hurricane of 1831. A second church was built in 1839, but was pulled down as unsafe forty years later after structural faults were discovered. The church is known for having detailed stained glass, the main show piece being the eastern detail, a donation from Thomas Briggs in memory of his parents Sir and Lady Graham Briggs, owners of the Grenade Hall Plantation which at the time included the Farley Hill Great House. Buried within the 16th Century church yard is the first English settler to set foot on Barbadian soil, William Arnold. The present church was built and consecrated in 1884. The present Rector is Father Selven Lowe.

Saint Philip's Parish Church was built in 1640 as the Anglican church for Saint Philip Parish, Barbados. However the original structure was destroyed in a hurricane in 1780 and was rebuilt in 1786. However, this structure was also destroyed in a hurricane on August 11, 1831. The church was then rebuilt again, the new structure being consecrated on 20 October 1837 by Bishop William Hart Coleridge. On Ash Wednesday in 1977 the building was partially damaged in a fire, but has since been restored.
