The following is a list of films which are set in or around Salt Lake City, Utah. Note that Utah is a right-to-work state, and as such, has become a popular filming location, because actors and labor are not required to follow rules for the Screen Actors Guild. Salt Lake City provides a generic Western urban landscape, often playing the substitute for Los Angeles, Denver, or unnamed cities.

Payson is a city in Utah County, Utah, United States. It is part of the Provo–Orem Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 21,101 at the 2020 census.
Heber City is a city and county seat of Wasatch County, Utah. The population was 16,856 as of the 2020 United States census. The city is located 43 miles southeast of Salt Lake City.

Salt Lake City International Airport is a joint civil-military international airport located about 4 mi west of Downtown Salt Lake City, Utah, United States. The airport, along with the much smaller Provo Airport (PVU) and Ogden–Hinckley Airport (OGD) are the closest commercial airports for more than 3 million people and is within a 30-minute drive of nearly 1.3 million jobs. The airport serves as a hub for Delta Air Lines and is a major gateway to the Intermountain West and West Coast. The airport sees 343 scheduled nonstop airline departures per day to 93 cities in North America and Europe. It is by far the busiest airport in Utah.
The Salt Lake Tabernacle, formerly known as the Mormon Tabernacle, is located on Temple Square in Salt Lake City, in the U.S. state of Utah. The Tabernacle was built from 1863 to 1875 to house meetings for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It was the location of the church's semi-annual general conference until the meeting was moved to the new and larger LDS Conference Center in 2000. Now a historic building on Temple Square, the Salt Lake Tabernacle is still used for overflow crowds during general conference. It is renowned for its remarkable acoustics and iconic pipe organ. The Tabernacle Choir has performed there for over 100 years.
Jackie Biskupski is an American Democratic politician, who served as the 35th Mayor of Salt Lake City, Utah. Upon taking office, Biskupski became Salt Lake City's 35th mayor, the city's first openly gay mayor, and the second female mayor. She is also a former member of the Utah House of Representatives, representing the 30th District in Salt Lake County from 1999 to 2011.

South Valley Regional Airport is a public airport located in West Jordan, seven miles (11 km) southwest of Salt Lake City, Utah, United States. Originally named Municipal Airport No. 2, construction began July 8, 1941, and it opened around July 15, 1942. It is the primary general aviation airport in the area and is a Utah Army National Guard training base with Apache and Blackhawk helicopters. The Salt Lake City Department of Airports operates as the FBO.

Mr. Krueger's Christmas is a 1980 American Christmas short television film produced by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, starring James Stewart, directed by Kieth Merrill, with story by Michael H. McLean, and featuring the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. It was first broadcast on NBC on December 21, 1980.
The Salt Lake City Intermodal Hub, also called Salt Lake Central station by the Utah Transit Authority (UTA), is a multi-modal transportation hub in Salt Lake City, Utah, United States served by the Blue Line of UTA's TRAX light rail system that operates in Salt Lake County and by the FrontRunner, UTA's commuter rail train that operates along the Wasatch Front with service from Ogden in central Weber County through Davis County, Salt Lake City, and Salt Lake County to Provo in central Utah County. Service at the intermodal hub is also provided by Amtrak, and Greyhound Lines, as well as UTA local bus service.

Salt Lake High School East or simply East High School is a public high school in the Salt Lake City School District in Salt Lake City, Utah, United States. It serves grades nine through twelve in general and special education. East High School was founded in 1913 and currently has an enrolled student body of around 1,900. It is located at 840 South 1300 East in the East Bench neighborhood. The original building was completed in 1913, and the current structure was built in 1997.

He played American football and competed in track for the University of Michigan from 1897 to 1899 and later coached football, basketball and track at Michigan State Normal College, Benton Harbor High School, Brigham Young University, and Utah State University.

He is also known for composing music for the 1993 movie Rigoletto, and for writing music for the 1988 Calgary Winter Olympics and 2002 Salt Lake City Olympic Games, where he composed and conducted music for the Closing Ceremonies.
