The Saluzzo Race Walking School (Scuola del Cammino di Saluzzo) is an international race walking school in Saluzzo, Piedmont, Italy.
The school was established in 2002[ citation needed ] by the brothers Giorgio, Maurizio and Sandro Damilano. Former champion race walkers Maurizio and Giorgio trained for Olympic Games and other championships on the roads around Saluzzo. [1] Sandro Damilano is an athletics coach and Director of the school.
It is an international training center for race walking, with accommodation for up to 12 people. [2] It is also a centre for the diffusion of fitwalking. [3]
Racewalking, or race walking, is a long-distance discipline within the sport of athletics. Although a foot race, it is different from running in that one foot must appear to be in contact with the ground at all times. Race judges carefully assess that this is maintained throughout the race. Typically held on either roads or running tracks, common distances range from 3,000 metres (1.9 mi) up to 100 kilometres (62.1 mi).

He also won four medals at the IAAF World Race Walking Cup team events.
Maurizio Damilano is an Italian former race walker. He won 15 medals individual, at senior level, at the International athletics competitions.
Arturo Di Mezza is a former Italian race walker who was 4th in the 50 km walk at the 1996 Summer Olympics.
Alex Schwazer, OMRI, is an Italian race walker. He was the 2008 Olympic 50k walk champion. He retired during the 2012 Olympics after being disqualified for doping offences.

The Men's 20 kilometres walk event at the 2011 World Championships in Athletics was held on August 28 on a loop course starting and finishing at Gukchae-bosang Memorial Park in the center of Daegu. Forty-six men started the competition and 27 countries were represented.

Anatoliy Vasilyevich Solomin is a former Soviet Ukrainian race walker. Solomin competed in men's 20 km walk at the 1980 Summer Olympics and contended for the gold medal, but was disqualified from the lead shortly before the finish. He was European indoor champion in men's 5000 m walk in 1983 and briefly held the 20 km world best. He was born in Komarovka in Penza Oblast.
The 2016 IAAF World Race Walking Team Championships was the 27th edition of the global team racewalking competition organised by the International Association of Athletics Federations. It was held in Rome, Italy from 7 to 8 May 2016. It was the first edition of the tournament under its new name, having previously been known as the IAAF World Race Walking Cup since 1989.
Wang Kaihua is a Chinese male racewalking athlete. He has represented his country at the IAAF World Race Walking Team Championships in 2016, where he helped China to the team gold, and at the 2017 World Championships in Athletics, where he finished in seventh place.
