Ismail bin Ahmed bin Ismail bin Ibrahim bin Adham better known as Ismail Adham was an Egyptian writer who was born and educated in Alexandria, then obtained a doctorate in science from Moscow University in 1931, and was appointed as a teacher of mathematics at Saint Petersburg University. Then he moved to Turkey and was a teacher of mathematics at the Ataturk Institute in Ankara, and returned to Egypt in 1936. He is one of the former Muslim writers who declared their atheism, wrote about it, and defended their ideas. He has a booklet entitled “Why am I an atheist?” He declared in this booklet that he is happy and content with this atheism, just as a believer in God feels happy and at peace.
Abdel Hadi Al Gazzar was an Egyptian painter. He occupies a unique position among the artists of his generation. His membership in the Contemporary Art Group elevated his status as an artist through his utilization of social commentary in addition to the group's focus on traditional, Egyptian identity. An-Nadeem was brought up in Alexandria. Poverty played an important role in his life, as he did not receive a formal education and came from the poor districts of Egypt at a time of financial and economic crisis. Corruption in the state, foreign intervention, and exploitation in political power were main aspects of an-Nadeem's political writings and speeches. He sought to overthrow the government that depended on foreigners and advocated for protecting the nation. His nationalist ideologies and political activism were greatly influenced by Jamal al-Din al-Afghani and Muhammed Abduh. An-Nadeem considered himself a self-taught scholar as he mentioned in his book “Kan wa yakoon”;.
Ahmad Amzad bin Hashim is a Malaysian politician who has served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Kuala Terengganu from May 2018 to June 2023 and again since August 2023. He served as the Deputy Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation for the second term in the Barisan Nasional (BN) administration under former Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob and former Minister Adham Baba from August 2021 to the collapse of the BN administration in November 2022 and the first term in Perikatan Nasional (PN) administration under former Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin and former Minister Khairy Jamaluddin from March 2020 to the collapse of the PN administration in August 2021. He is a member of the Malaysian Islamic Party (PAS), a component party of the PN coalition.
The poet Mohamed Mohamed Elshahat Elraghy was born in 1954 in the village of Ad-Dahreyah in Dakahlia Governorate,Egypt. He graduated from the Faculty of Arts, Department of Arabic Language at Cairo University. His first collection of poems, Circling Around the Empty Head, was published in 1974 and won several awards, including the Egypt Youth Poetry Award in 1978. He was awarded Naji Naaman's literary honor prize for his complete works in 2023. Elshahat worked as a journalist in many newspapers and literary magazines in Egypt and the Arab world. He finally settled at Al-Akhbar Publishing House and worked as deputy editor-in-chief of AkhbarAl-Riyadah newspaper. Elshahat was also one of the founders of the Egyptian magazine "Masriyah " which was published in Egypt in the early 1970s. He is a member of the Egyptian Syndicate of Journalists, the Union of Writers, and the Board of Trustees of the Mustafa and Ali Amin Association. Elshahat also served as a member of the board of directors of the Union of Writers in 2015.
