Samira Manners (born 9 July 2000), is a bilingual British-Swedish singer-songwriter. [1] Samira has an English father and a Swedish mother. She learnt her first English in pre-school in Southern England and grew up speaking English at home in Sweden. She signed to Cardiac Records / Sony Music Sweden in 2020 and has since released 8 singles. [2]

She participated in Melodifestivalen 2022 with the song "I Want to Be Loved". [3] She performed in Heat 2 on 12 February 2022, finishing in fourth place in the phone vote, fifth place overall, and failing to qualify. She performed onstage with her band: Alice Castell (bass), Kajsa Westergren (drums), and Agnes Roslund (guitar). [4] [5]

Career

Samira studied at Lund's Dance and Musical Gymnasium (LDMG) 2016-2019, Malmö Academy of Music 2021-2022, [6] and Folkhögskolan Skurup and Fridhem Malmö since 2022. [7]

Molly My Marianne Sandén, also known by her middle name My Marianne, is a Swedish pop singer and voice actress. As a teenager, she represented Sweden in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2006 and participated in Melodifestivalen in 2009, 2012, and 2016. Her sisters Frida and Mimmi are also singers. In 2018, Sandén released her third studio album, Större. Her fourth studio album was released in early 2019, called Det bästa kanske inte hänt än.

After the show, she started a solo career in electropop. She released her debut album Tove Styrke in 2010. The New York Post included Styrke in its list of "10 Artists to Know in 2011". In 2015, she released her second album, Kiddo. Three years later, in 2018, she released her third album, Sway. Throughout the 2010s Styrke gained an increasing critical acclaim as an independent artist resulting in her single "Say My Name" being included in Rolling Stone's 100 best songs of the decade.
