Samuel Carlos Kosi M'Pemba (born October 3, 2004) [1] is an American football outside linebacker for the Texas A&M Aggies. He previously played for the Georgia Bulldogs.
M'Pemba was born in Olivette, Missouri, the son of Martial and Mimi M'Pemba. [2] [3] He began his high school career at Ladue Horton Watkins High School in St. Louis, and then transferred as a junior in 2021 to the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. [3] He was rated by Rivals.com as the No. 10 player overall, and the No. 2 defensive end, in the 2023 college football recruiting class. [4] He received scholarship offers from numerous universities, including Alabama, Florida State, Miami, Michigan, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas, Texas A&M, and USC. [3]
In December 2022, M'Pemba committed to Georgia. [5] During the summer 2023, M'Pemba was cited by the Oconee County Sheriff's Office for driving 88 miles per hour in a 55 mile per hour zone. [6] He is majoring in housing management and policy. [7]
During the 2023 season, he played in 10 games at reserve outside linebacker, finishing the season with tallying six tackles. [7]
Through the first several games of the 2024 season, M'Pemba has appeared in two games with 15 snaps and one tackle. [8]
On December 13, 2024, M'Pemba announced that he would enter the transfer portal. [9]
On December 23, 2024, M'Pemba announced that he would transfer to Texas A&M. [10]
