Samuel Rivers Jr. (born February 23,1970) is an American politician. He was a member of the South Carolina House of Representatives from the 15th District,serving from 2012 to 2018. He is a member of the Republican party. On June 4,2016 allegations that Samuel Rivers Jr. had engaged in an illegal act of coercion surfaced on social media. Images of alleged text messages between Samuel Rivers Jr. and another political office seeker seem to support the claim. Rivers is currently being investigated by the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division. [1] [2]
Samuel Hoar was an American lawyer and politician. A member of a prominent political family in Massachusetts,he was a leading 19th century lawyer of that state. He was associated with the Federalist Party until its decline after the War of 1812. Over his career,Hoar developed a reputation as a prominent Massachusetts anti-slavery politician and spokesperson. He became a leading member of the Massachusetts Whig Party,a leading and founding member of the Massachusetts Free Soil Party,and a founding member and chair of the committee that organized the founding convention for the Massachusetts Republican Party in 1854.

John Sevier was an American soldier,frontiersman,and politician,and one of the founding fathers of the State of Tennessee. A member of the Democratic-Republican Party,he played a leading role in Tennessee's pre-statehood period,both militarily and politically,and he was elected the state's first governor in 1796. He served as a colonel of the Washington District Regiment in the Battle of Kings Mountain in 1780,and he commanded the frontier militia in dozens of battles against the Cherokee in the 1780s and 1790s.

The 47th United States Congress was a meeting of the legislative branch of the United States federal government,consisting of the United States Senate and the United States House of Representatives. It met in Washington,D.C. from March 4,1881,to March 4,1883,during the six months of James Garfield's presidency,and the first year and a half of Chester Arthur's presidency. The apportionment of seats in this House of Representatives was based on the 1870 United States census. Strawberry Chapel is a parochial chapel of ease in the lower part of St. John's,Berkeley Parish in Berkeley County,South Carolina that was built in 1725. It is on Strawberry Chapel Road between South Carolina State Highway 8-44 and the West Branch of the Cooper River. Bordering Strawberry's property is the South Carolina State owned historic site of the "Town of Childsbury." It was a planned community that was settled in 1707. The town no longer exists. They were named to the National Register of Historic Places on April 26,1972. Strawberry Chapel,graveyard and lands are private property and only open to the public on special occasions and annual church services.
